We had a pleasant stay in this hotel, the room was very comfortable, clean and smart and all of the facilities worked well. The `psychedelic' shower was fun, the bed was nicely firm, and we were always warm enough. The breakfast too was very good. I suppose the only niggle we had (apart from the weather - but that's not their fault !) was that the hotel was always difficult to find - every time we went out we got lost ! I think all the maps we had were designed to take you on a surprise mystery tour... Nevertheless we enjoyed the hotel very much, the staff were excellent and friendly, and what we saw of Lille we can't wait to return - perhaps in the spring when it surely would be nicer.

We stayed here on the 2/12/11 with some friends. The welcome we received was wonderful, it was as though we were long lost friends. Both rooms were nicely decorated and spotless as was the bathroom. We paid for the breakfast and was not dissapointed. Freshly baked bread, brioche, cereal, juices, coffee, tea, jams etc all frshly made and when they ran out immediatly were replaced with more. Walking distance to the Town, we went for the xmas markets and it was lovely, especially when lit up. Restaurants around the square were amazing and we enjoyed some brilliant food. Returned home very tired, but very happy.

Room Tip: They are all good.

If you need somewhere inexpensive to stay in Lille with no frills etc. then this is the place for you. Quiet room, comfy bed, TV, internet & en suite shower with everything in town within easy walking distance.

A very enjoyable stay!

I stayed here on account of other hotels in the price range being booked out during the 5 days that I was in Lille.

Pros:
Walking distance (10 minute) to the train stations (Lille Europe and Lille Flanders).

Very close (50m) to the restaurant/bar area of Lille

Friendly helpful staff

Good price for what it is if you just want a place to sleep

Excellent Wi-Fi speeds

Nice touches with the lights in the room

Excellent hot showers

Very clean rooms

Cons:
The walls are a bit thin, so you could hear the TV in a another room if it was on loudly.
You need to almost slam the door to close it - which meant that the neighbouring room's door was occasionally heard. Of course, these issues are dependent on your neighbour.

The first night there were mosquitoes in the room.

The cleaner is very attentive but one day he/she left the window open and someone from outside could have got into the room as the security strap was also unlocked.

Overall:
A very good budget chain hotel in a quiet part of town. You get what you pay for in some ways, and the rooms remind me of sleeping in an Ikea showroom. Some of the minor issues are probably due to the thin walls and if you have people in a neighbouring room.

Room Tip: Choose a room that faces away from the main road. There are several bakeries nearby that I would almost forget about the breakfast at the hotel and just walk to one of these ones instead. Having said that I did not eat at the hotel.
