So many hotels reviewed on the net before I go and spend a (rainy) week-end in Lourdes!
And I was very happy I actually chose this one!
It is very easy to reach from the train station and it is ideally located between the turistic area (basilic) and the city center (5min walk). There are many places to eat around.
The hosts were extremely welcoming, helpful and nice to me, having a chat every time we met (I wasn't often in the hotel though).
There is a continental breakfast for 6€ until 9am and they're quite generous with the hot drinks.
The room was clean (and being cleaned daily) and the bed confortable. But it was very hard to find a plug to charge my camera's battery: only one and that's the one they use for the TV, be aware! We can hear people in the street but it was by the end of season so there was not so many people. I couldn't hear other customers of my floor though so it is quiet.
Other than that, I really recommend this place especially in a city where there are more hôtels than people!

Room tip: Wifi only on the ground floor and for rooms of the 1st floor and on the 3rd floor, my phone didn't pick well (except by the window)

Small single bed and the bathroom is a tiny yet adequate. Homemade dinner was good enough. Breakfast was a bit lacking. No eggs or bacon. The elevator to the top is a tight squeeze. But the room and the entire facility is clean and the shopkeeper is very friendly. He even offered to live our bags at his office so we can roam around light. Check out is 9AM.

Generous, very helpful attitude of staff completely overcomes limited English of some of them. Could legitimately have charged us for the first no show night (missed railway connection) but they didn't. Exceptional value at such a low price, including the low cost, generous evening meal in little family style restaurant. The 'sense' of comfort is far in excess of the actual facilities = so rare to find this. Very clean and neat. Compact, basic room but didn't feel tiny or dreary. Has lift. Excellent central location in a pleasant little town, with hotel perfectly matching the town's atmosphere.
The following criticisms seems a bit unfair at this price but some people might want to note - no a/c but despite warm day didn't feel hot (good window ventilation), no tv, WiFi signal to upstairs was weak (adequate for emails, but not SKYPE) but good connection down stairs. Walls are thin and noise does transfer, but the type of clientelle are very respectful and quiet (and no TV) so overall was quieter than many other hotels.

I decided to add this review belatedly because some friends paid far more in Lourdes for a far less pleasant experience and would have benefitted from knowing this hotel.
