“Outstanding rural French retreat”
Reviewed 8 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

This property is fabulous in every possible way. The sheer quality of the rooms, pool and the general facilities are utterly outstanding and made for a great family holiday. We were a party of 9, including 4 children ranging in ages from 10 to 3 years old and the property was perfect for such a holiday.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful. The local villages, all full of French charm and character, and the coastline are easily explored by car. It's all there, waiting to be explored.
The owner was very approachable and a constant source of help and assistance in all aspects of the local area, which gave us a real insight into what was on our doorstep..
At the end of our time there, as well as feeling very relaxed, we felt like we had truly experienced time in the authentic France.

“French Perfection”
Reviewed 13 August 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This is our second time at Le Ramonetage but we had never stayed in the house before as Ingrid, the owner, has only recently started renting it out. We can't speak highly enough about everything connected with this rental. The house is as beautiful as it looks in the photographs, and set in a lovely large garden with a pool and surrounding area which would be hard to better anywhere in a private rental. The interior of the house is a delight, decorated beautifully and with plenty of large rooms to accommodate a large group but still allowing plenty of personal space for everyone. There is a separate television room with a large screen smart tv and DVD player, tons of DVDs, satellite feed, Bose sound system and very importantly great WiFi throughout the house. Wakening up in these bedrooms is a delight and everything on offer makes this a dream French holiday. The pool area, and the pool itself, is nothing less than fantastic. It gets the sun all day and there are plenty of comfortable sun loungers for everybody in a large party. There is also a great covered area with table and chairs and comfortable seats for lunch or simply retreating into a bit of shade. There is also a beautiful little shaded porch with a seating area at the entrance to the house nearest the pool with climbing jasmine and pot plants. It's a great place to sit and have a drink or read in a perfect setting. There is also a really useful little downstairs toilet near this entrance which means that anyone with limited mobility need not worry about having to climb the stairs during the day to find a bathroom. Everything about this house is perfection for a holiday in the South of France. Ingrid, the owner, is the prefect host, and always available if you need advice or help. For our arrival she had provided a welcome pack of some wine and bread etc for no extra charge which is typical of her generosity and later in the week she left us some fresh fruit that she had just picked. The house is in a lovely area which is convenient to plenty of small towns and 10 minutes from Narbonne so you'll not get bored if you want a change from sunbathing. If you're thinking of going to the South of France you need have no doubt about the quality of holiday you will have here. C'est parfait!

Spent two weeks here in June/July. We have rented many properties in France and this was definitely one of the best in everyway. Often photographs can be deceptive however in this case the house & gardens were even better than what we expected.
The property is in a lovely location surrounded by vineyards, a local village is a few minutes drive away and it has a small supermarket, boulangerie & a butcher.. It is only a 15-20min drive into the lovely city of Narbonne where there are plenty of restaurants, a great market and some beautiful tourist sights. The beaches around Narbonne are well worth a visit. It was about 50mins from Carcassonne airport.
The house is amazing it was spotlessly clean and full of character, but with all modern conveniences. The master suite on the 2nd floor had been totally modernised with an enormous bathroom and a great powerful shower.
All of the bedrooms on the 1st floor were huge, and tastefully decorated, the beds were extremely comfortable and again the main bathroom had a great modern walk in shower.
The bedding and towels were of good quality and they were like new.
Downstairs was full of characterwith the original tiled flooring etc( and unlike other properties everything was well restored and maintained)
The kitchen was equipped with everything that you can imagine and having 2 fridges was great. We had no issues at all with the wifi.
In the main sitting room we were able to get uk tv with a good choice of channels.
The pool was a lovely size and there was plenty of seating around it, including a lovely sheltered eating area, the gardens were full of colour and immaculately maintained.
The owner was extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly and it was lovely to be welcomed by her and shown around rather than just getting a key from a keybox.
All in all this beautiful house is well worth a visit as the facilities it offers are second to none
