It is not that difficult to find a vegetarian meal in Montpellier but the problem is that they are quite often predictable. Here it was different! The main dish I chose was a risotto-style dish with tiny pasta and season vegetables mixed in a thick sauce. The other kinds of dishes had vegetarian options, too, including amuse-bouche. The dinner was not one of the cheapest but it was delicious(including cheeses at the end), beautifully decorated with fresh herbs and flowers, and the service was great, so it was worth its price. The one weak point was a dessert, a baba rhum. It was not special, just average, a bit disappointing in comparison with the rest.
We were lucky, I guess, because we could eat a dinner without reservation dueing the season. It is probably due to the fact that we came early, not long after the evening opening hour. But there were passers-by, attracted by the menu and the atmosphere who had to go find a different place because all the tables in the restaurant were occupied or reserved.
