The Villa is located up the hill from the town, which means a bit of a climb up after a visit to the beautiful town and port, but it also leads to fantastic views from the balconies towards the sea and into the surrounding hills.
We loved Collioure for strolling around on market day and in the evenings. The atmosphere is great. There's even some small beaches directly in town, albeit somewhat crowded and more pebbles than sand.
Just 5min by car away at Le Racou is the first of the big sandy beaches and there's loads of possible activities from wine tasting to art to sports nearby.
The accommodation itself is spacious and very well spec'd for 4 - 6 people, however the third bedroom is windowless and a through-room to the utility room. There's nothing we missed other than maybe a bit more internet speed.
Contact with the owner was easy, quick and very friendly.
We'd love to come again.
A pleasent stay in a beatiful house. The area around is also worth a visit. You can go hiking in the mountains and visit the stunning Catar castles, or take a bath in the sea
Collioure is a stunning village, plenty to see and do in surrounding areas, beaches, art, restaurants, music, shopping. The villa we stayed in was like a home away from home very impressed with all the facilities, loved the NZ touches throughout the villa, it was very clean and tidy throughout, would definitely stay there again.
Villa 6 has everything you would want in fine holiday accommodation. It is on a high elevation with glorious views to the town and sea and enjoys the quietness of surrounding bushlands yet is an easy walk to the very special town of Collioure. The house is impeccably maintained with lovely tasteful furnishings and wonderful views from the three balconies/terraces. The pool area is excellent too as are the swimming areas and abundance of restaurants in town. Market days are especially good for buying produce and then enjoying leisurely lunches back at the stunning villa. Thanks Val, thoroughly delightful.
Collioure is a French gem just across the Spanish border. A lovely luxurious villa with top quality features. A choice of balconies and areas to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine - with different aspects at any time. The Villa was fully equipped and a pleasure to stay in. Collioure is beautiful and has a big variety of restaurants and artisan shops. There is a choice of beaches in Collioure or within a short drive to nearby towns. This villa is located in a residential area and is a nice walk (10 mins or so) to the town. The pool is shared with other villas but was always quiet. Last but not least I must mention the lovely lady owner who was very helpful at every stage. All in all a wonderful holiday.
