Small restaurant, with capacity for just over 30 covers. Modern very light decor, welcoming friendly Italian staff. Menu is not overly extensive, but has a decent choice of maybe 6-8 pastas, a similar number of meat dishes and pizzas.
Quality was very good - we shared a Caprese for a starter - this was a big portion, large enough for 2 and the buffalo mozzarella and olive oil were of exceptional quality and taste. A delight to eat.
My wife had her usual Spaghetti Carbonara and enjoyed it. I chose Saltimbocca a la Romana, a dish I like very much. The veal was very good, although the sauce I felt was much too creamy and thicker than I have previously eaten. Unusually the dish was served with spaghetti rather than vegetables. The spaghetti went well with the thicker sauce though.
We both ordered Colonels for desert, the restaurant offers a choice of either Vodka or Limoncello with the lemon sorbet. We tried both although I preferred the traditional Vodka version.
