The L'Orangeraie is located just blocks from the Chateau & on the same block as the Potager Du Roi (a can't miss for gardeners). Ines and Dominique were perfect hosts, breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I recommend highly.

L'Orangeraie was a perfect location for exploring Versailles. Ines and Dominique were very kind and welcoming hosts. The place was very clean, quiet, spacious enough for 3 adults and the location is great for the palace and the town. Breakfast was lovely too. Thank you!

Room Tip: There is WiFi, but you must be near the main house. Otherwise no WiFi in the cottage.

L'Orangeraie is as deliciously simple as the palace is spectacular. There is nothing remotely pretentious about this hidden-away gem which is only a few yards from the hub of the city. There are excellent restaurants and shops all around, while the establishment itself provides a very acceptable breakfast, complete with fresh fruit.
There are no luxuries and not all the rooms have Wi-Fi and a TV. Also, the towels could be a bit bigger and better. None of that, though, adds up to a complaint. As a pleasant and convenient place to stay, l'Orangeraie, with its friendly owners, fits the bill as well as many a more sophisticated hostelry.

Room Tip: Have stayed in one and the house and one in the garden. Each charming in its own way.

We stayed there for a few nights in 2010 and it was fantastic. Our hosts were very hospitable and they spoke English well enough. The location was ideal, and the atmosphere and accommodations were first rate. Our breakfast was simple, but amazing.
