Absolutely the best time in Paris!
We were in the middle of everything: walked to the Louvre, the Marais, the D'Orsay, the Eiffel Tower. Strolled the Left Bank, the Right Bank, the Île St. Louis. Listened to the bells of Notre Dame.
Less than five minutes walk away we book browsed in Shakespeare & Co. and bought croissants, pan de chocolat, baguettes, wine, cheese to bring back. Made espresso every morning with the automatic machine.
Discovered the low-key, diverse nightlife in and around the Rue de la Huchette where singles, couples, and families of all ages and descriptions wander and eat and drink and party and talk.
This was the perfect getaway for our Second Honeymoon. Equally perfect for a first one or romantic assignation of any kind. Just unpack, buy a couple of huge scarves, take your sweetheart by the arm, and disappear among the Parisians.
Au revoir, Les Toits de Notre Dame! À la prochaine!
The bells of Notre Dame--how can you beat a location where the ringing of the bells fills your entire body? This apartment was very well done--nicely decorated, very comfortable bed and top floor with 2 small balconies. The apartment was small but everything was arranged so that you could make maximum use of the space. The apartment has been completely remodeled with a very nice kitchen area, including washer and a very good bathroom with nice rain shower. The elevator was small but welcome since this is a 6th floor apartment. Thank you, Stephan.
Wonderful stay at Les Toits. Solo traveller so plenty of space. Nicely renovated bathroom. Comfy bed. Loved sitting on the balcony eating a croissant from the local baker looking out over the rooves. A bit hot at times as top floor no air con but the fan helped. Had everything I needed. Great position. Ice cream shop downstairs. Bakery down the road. Early morning rambles along the seine. Was very sad to leave.
This little apartment was perfect for my husband and myself. When I showed my husband the location, he was worried about noise from the busy street, but, once we were in the apartment, we realized that the apartment does not face the street. In the evening, we occasionally heard some laughter or kids playing or singing (a birthday party), but nothing that disturbed our serenity. In fact, it made us feel as though we were a part of the neighborhood. The apartment includes everything you might need, including a washing machine, and it is located in one of the best parts of Paris for seeing a lot of the sights. Being right near the river also makes travel up and downriver to other sights amazingly easy. The bed was so comfortable and, even with the heat wave, we were able to open the windows for comfortable sleeping temperatures. I will definitely keep this apartment in mind for future stays in one of our favorite cities. Why stay in a hotel when you can have your own lovely and well-located apartment?
Located a 1/2 block from Notre Dame, this place was the perfect choice for us. Bright and cheery, with every amenity you can think of, this hidden little gem was in the best location. Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Saint Chapelle, the Latin Quarter, and the Marais to name just a few. The apartment itself, while located centrally on a very busy street, is up and away from the bustle so once inside, the sounds and chaos of the are easily forgotten. Additionally, attention has been given to the smallest details, so this charming apartment is really quite a find. The spa shower head is a nice touch! We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come again. We hated saying goodbye to "our" pied-a-terre!!!!
