We stumbled on this place late one evening last year, unfortunately just as they were closing for the night. But having had a chat with the couple who own it, who are really nice people with an obvious passion for what they do, we made sure we returned when we were next in Paris.
We stopped for a leisurely lunch on a Saturday, and after being given an informative run down of the menu and the provenance of all of the produce listed, settled on a couple of "planches" of charcuterie, along with a couple of glasses of wine and a side of potato & cheese puree. The wine was the suggestion of the owner (they have a pretty exhaustive selection), and was an excellent choice, complementing the charcuterie beautifully and bringing out the best in the flavours. The produce itself was of extremely high quality and was a real treat, while the atmosphere was very relaxed and convivial. As I've alluded to, the owners are more than happy to answer any questions about the food and wine, and offer excellent advice, and their passion for the ingredients really helps make this a lovely place to eat. On top of that, as well as being able to eat in house, there is some fantastic produce that you can buy to take home with you.
