If you spend enough time in Paris to explore beyond the major tourist attractions, take a stroll along the streets of Le Marais. We walked along the river from The Louvre. We found charming restaurants with outdoor seatings, pastry shops with inviting dessert displays, colorful flower shops, beautiful architecture like the Hotel de ville. We had late lunch at Au Bourguignon du Marais and sampled pastries from across the street at Au Petit Versailles du Marais. We bought fallafel take out for later. We were full but could not resist the ad of the best in the world. We found our way to Place des Vosges-which reminded me of London’s Berkeley Square and Grosvenor Square. Understatedly regal. Another stroll in Paris that should be a must for anyone who wants to explore a little bit more of the charming city. We took the metro at Place de Bastille.
