“Great view and location”

Oh, those steps...later
First, this was an amazing place to stay. The neighborhood is great for walking, and many sites are in walking distance or easily got to from the St Michel station. We got a 5 day metro pass and went everywhere with never more than one transfer and a direct line to CDG. The views are incredible - even in bad weather as there is a glass landing area with a sofa where you can hang out if it is wet or cold.

We were 2 couples. it is a bit tight for 4, but if you get along well and are compatible travelers it can work. The privacy is there, but not a lot of it. Shower and toilet in separate rooms, so made it easier in the morning for 4 to get ready. Splitting the cost in half was great!

It might be noisy with windows open in better weather, as the street has party people hanging out and making noise. But you cant hear them with closed windows in the bed. Not really a bedroom per se, a bed nook with a curtain.

The steps - 130 of them, we counted. It winds and is a bit uneven at times. It you can't go up 6 difficult flights with your luggage go elsewhere. We did fine with them (50ish year olds) and it allowed us to eat all we wanted since we worked it all off.

“Six flights of pain for a fabulous view!”

For a brief trip to Paris, this apartment offers a central location with very easy access to all major sights and a wonderful view over the chimney pots to Notre Dame. As long as your children are old enough to negotiate 6 flights of stairs and (hopefully) carry a small bag or two, this is a good option for families. The photos are all very representative.

If possible, DON'T eat nearby. Rue de la Harpe and it's neighbouring streets used to be known as "bacteria alley", but whilst you are unlikely to actually become unwell, the local restaurants are on average, very poor quality. Even the numerous creperies have stacks of pre-cooked crepes which they reheat, rather than cook to order. Grab a Metro to any other arrondissement and enjoy better dining options.

The owner, Aurelien, was always contactable during our stay and very helpful. For our visit over Christmas, he even organised a Christmas tree and decorations for the roof terrace. This was wonderful, given there was no way on earth we would consider lugging a tree up those stairs!

One small point worth mentioning is the complete lack of a fire exit in the building. Not the place to stay for those who worry about such things.. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this apartment and would recommend it to others wanting reasonably priced accommodation in the Latin Quarter.

This apartment is a real find ..... it's the best city base I've ever stayed in . There's lots to make you feel you made the right choice , and at a good price .
The eclectic interior has very good morning light which makes you want to get out and enjoy paris . Or you can stay in and enjoy a very thoughtfully decorated and well equipped pad , with that killer roof terrace ....... I'm sure it will be a green oasis in summer. It looks out over all the rooftops on to Notre-Dame.
It's in a bustling area , yet still quiet inside . There's a supermarket right next door .
The cleaning lady is very friendly and helpful . Everything you need in a place to stay.
