“We had a really good room, but an otherwise average hotel”
Reviewed 27 August 2011

The hotel is near the Musée d'Orsay, but other than that, we found little else of interest in the nearby area (neither sights, nor shopping nor eating). Close to a Metro stop that is served by only one line.

Our "welcome" to the hotel was simply a very short "This is your room number. Give the key back each time you go out". In other words, not very welcoming at all.

While parts of the hotel itself didn't have much charm, our Deluxe room was excellent. Large, comfortable, with two windows allowing a lot of light, and a good bed. A large comfortable bathroom was spoilt by a poorly designed/installed shower head (recessed, so you needed to lean over the taps and drain hole to try to get under the water stream). A kettle was provided in the room, but there was only one choice of tea as they were running out. However, and more importantly, the free Wi-Fi worked well. :-)

Overall, we were disappointed with this hotel. While we had a good room, other things were lacking, and there's definitely better hotels around (and worse ones, too!).

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel d'Orsay in July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived mid morning after a sleepless flight. The hotel manager instructed the housekeeping staff to make up our room so it would be available after breakfast.

The entire staff was friendly, helpful and were ver accommodating about our minimal French speaking abilities.

We will definitely stay here again.

Superbly situated near to the Musee d'Orsay this hotel offered clean rooms and polite and courteous staff. It was probably the most plush hotel on our 20 day tour of west Europe but it never gave the impression of being pretentious. The breakfasts were nice and there were some decently priced restaurants near the Assemblee National Metro station (60 yard walk). Our boys' room, on the sixth floor, had some steep stairs to negotiate from the 5th floor (perfectly OK for them but not recommended for the unfit).

This was a 4 night city break with my brother and we both thought the hotel exceeded our expectations. We booked a twin room which was spacious, clean and not at all tired as prvoius reviewers had stated. The reception staff were friendly and we even had a little joke with them. Breakfast was included in our booking served in a bright airy dining room. It included fresh coffee served by the delightful waiter, fruit, a choice of breads , pastries and cheeses and breakfast cereals. We found Paris generally expensive however this hotel provided value for money in a great location. You can walk to the Musee D'Orsay and Louvre. Our room was to the front and yes there was noise from the road however if you have been sight seeing all day it does not annoy an exhausted tourist. Very clean hotel and I would definately recommed it and will return myself to it next trip tp Paris.

We travelled as a family of four and had plenty of room and were happy to stay on this side of the river. The hotel service was above what we had expected and the front desk always had great restaurant suggestions.
