It was really nice to stay at Hotel Bourbon, Metro station Varennes at walking distance (10 min.)
Room was clean and quite. Service was very good.
Unfortunatelly, no private parking, Vinci parking at "Invalides" was 33.00€ a day.
This hotel met the needs of our family of 4 during our stay in Paris
1. Location - close to a Metro stop, Orsay and Rodin museums
2. Spacious rooms which were well maintained with good A/C and accomodated our family of 4 well.
3. Staff was friendly and accomodating. We had to switch rooms on the last day and they moved the luggage for us which was a nice touch
1. Wireless was a little sporadic
Overall this was good hotel
The clean, modern bathroom and well-kept bedroom was so appreciated by our family of 4. We saved, literally, $20 a day by their having instant coffee and an electric kettle in the room. The hotel is located on a lovely side street that has a good restaurant, 2 excellent bakeries, a grocery store, a fresh fruit and veg. shop, and an ATM on it, but is just minutes from the Rodin museum and a metro stop. Our son left his backpack in the lobby, and the staff sent it via DHL to our hostel in Oxford with the Ipod and Kindle intact. (We paid via credit card for the shipment, but we are so grateful for their honesty and assistance!).
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also very nice and staff was helpful. Location was great! Walking distance to most tourist attractions and shops. Easy access to Metro stations. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends.
The Hotel du Palais Bourbon is a great place to call home when you visit Paris. After a busy day, it's comfort and charm are quite welcome. Located in a quiet and cozy neighborhood, everything you need is just a short walk from the hotel. From the Musee Rodin, with it's fantastic rose garden, to watching the Seine flow by, it's all just a 5 minute walk. There are several very good restaurants in the immediate area, but some are hidden off main streets, so exploring can really pay off. The neighborhood also has a great bakery or two and a really good market for fresh fruits and veggie just across the street.
The staff is very kind and helpful. Francois, at the front desk, can help you with anything you need, as well as the history of the hotel and it's remarkable breakfast room, to details about Paris. Breakfast here is a real treat, not only from the ambiance of the rooms, but also a very satisfying "little breakfast" with an endless supply of French pastries, cheeses, and great coffee, as well as the usual fare.
This is a great place from which to discover the wonders of a wonderful city.
Had a nice stay here, can't really fault the room. Only had one issue - the TV sent was not working (not really a problem!), did ask to have it looked at but was not fixed.
Staff very pleasant and helpful and spoke excellent English.
