We waited till the cheap seats went on sale, around the corner (les strapotins) and sat in the highest balcony to watch Le Malade imaginaire. The chandelier alone is worth the price of a ticket.
Picturing the ladies in their silks and satins behind their fans surrounded by red carpet, seats, drapes, and wallpaper must be experienced! The statues of the authors are stunning. Take the tiny little elevator in the corner to complete the experience. They have a lovely gift shop with nice things to send home, wrapped just so and sealed with a gold sticker.
