nice and friendly, good location to visit Paris' Quartier Latin and its surroundings even by foot, not far from the main attractions and the river Seine, not far from public transport (metro) and the stations (Gare du Nord, Gare de l'est, Gare d'Austerlitz)

Good location but hotel tired in need of updating
Room and bathroom very small no space to get dried in bathroom
But clean and comfortable bed
Plenty of restaurants nearby
Park across the road which is worth visiting

We booked a superior double room and the room was tiny. There was absolutely no space for our luggage. There was no proper door to the bathroom (that actually closed) noises and smell could come into the room without hinderness. It was rather quiet Hotel so we could get some good night rest. Service personnel was ok. Good Location, 2min from Metro stop and 15-20 min walk to Notre Dame.

Timhotel Jardin des Plantes is a small hotel in a great central location in Paris. For the money, we couldn’t have stayed any closer to the city centre and there are excellent public transport links nearby. However, the hotel itself was unfortunately quite disappointing.

Whilst the bed was relatively comfortable, the quality of the other fixtures and fittings was extremely poor. Our bathroom door had a large dent in it and the bathroom itself was tiny and also looked like a public shower block as opposed to a hotel bathroom. The decor in the rooms is very dated and they are extremely small, with two people in there it felt very cramped.

We also used the iron from reception at one point and were given a tiny ironing board and iron which leaked water everywhere. The rooms are not well soundproofed and you could hear a lot of noise at night and from the other rooms.

The hotel staff were helpful and the location of the hotel is good, but we expected much better for what we paid, especially considering that it is supposed to be a 3 star hotel. It was a 2 at best. Given it is a small hotel some compromises are understandable but we felt that overall this hotel is in great need of refurbishment to improve the quality and experience.

The location is ideal so if you won’t be spending much time in your room, the hotel is passable, but if you have other options I would try elsewhere.

High humidity and condensation problem in that hotel: there were mold and moisture deposits in the three rooms we visited.
With that price (170€ / night), we expected a "healthy" room: that was clearly not the case thus we decided not to stay and to find another hotel. We find it: less expensive, nice, clean and with a warmer welcome and more comfortable surroundings.
