Thank you for your review.
I'm happy to read that you enjoy the service, but really surprise about your feeling about our hotel and breakfast.
We propose the service, the room size, and facilities of a french four stars. Our hotel is recently renovated with the Mode theme, and you will not find room like ours in every hotel in Paris.
Our breakfast is standard with all the Accor product, and one different product every week.
It's an older building with a bit of character but has been greatly renovated, especially the lobby which is blindingly white.
I liked the hotel and I like the 13th, though some tourists may find it a bit removed from the major sites. For me that is the neighborhood's beauty. You don't feel so much like a tourist and when you speak your fractured French in the various shops and cafes they don't reply in English - usually.
My room (509) had two windows and a great amount of light. The second night I noticed I actually had a "view" of the Eiffel Tower as it was twinkling through the bare tree branches many miles away. You'd never even know it was there in the daytime.
An annoyance was the front entrance which does not always open automatically. It seems that after dark (which is 17.00 in the winter) they want you to ring the bell which is placed to the right of the door. A security feature perhaps, but I didn't even notice the bell until I'd been there a few days...standing out there like a jerk with my shopping bags! :-)
Breakfast was good and had a bit of hot food - scrambled eggs and meats - in addition to the usual cold meats and cheeses. The hot food was much appreciated in the winter. Downstairs in the breakfast room is a lady with light brown hair who deserves a medal for her cheerfulness and friendliness. I don't recall ever seeing anyone work so hard - anywhere - to ensure guests' happiness. To the Accor management of this hotel: Please nominate this woman for whatever employee recognition program you may run. She really deserves to win. She is incredible and there seems to be no end to her energy and genuine concern.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with all of us.
We are really happy that you appreciated your stay, and the skills of our Breakfast Responsible. She is very exceptional !
We are in the middle of a typical parisian district, and you can discover "the real Paris"
For security reason after the recent events in Paris, we have to close the door all time and control who enter in the Hotel. That also help lot of our guest to feel safier during their stay.
We hope to see you for your next Paris trip!
I stayed here recently as part of a group booking to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday.
We booked 6 rooms for 12 of us for 2 weeks, and we loved the hotel.
Everything was fantastic - the location (only a few minutes walk to the local Metro Place d’Italie, the local shopping centre, many cafes and restaurants and the markets in front of the hotel 3 times a week).
Excellent staff service - all staff were very pleasant and helpful, even accommodating our group to have Christmas Day celebrations on site. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The rooms were all a decent size, clean and the heated towel rack in the bathrooms were a huge hit.
We loved everything about it, and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Thanks a lot for your very kind comment ! It was really enjoyable for us to host your family during this Christmas.
We are ideally located in a lively neighborhood with a very close metro Station Place d’Italie, a shopping mall Italie Deux, and a local market every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
The rooms are all well-equipped and they were renovated recently.
Our staff priority is making the guest satisfaction.
We hope to see you all another time, for any other occasion you want to celebrate in the city of lights !
My family (12 people), booked this hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel was very accomdating in that they tried to get us all on one floor. All communication with the hotel prior to our arrival was promptly responded to, mostly by Norine. The rooms were as expected, the breakfast was a basic breakfast, but the staff were wonderful. The hotel is located just down the road from a metro station and their are plently of restaurants around if you wanted to stay local for dinner.I would stay here again without a doubt.
Thanks a lot for this wonderful comment. We were so happy to host you all. It was a pure delight to serve you during your long stay!
Indeed, our hotel is located near the Metro Station Place d’Italie, with drives you the main tourist attraction of the Capital with the lines 5, 6 and 7.
And in the heart of our neighborhood, we are spoiled by plenty of local restaurants all around us.
We put a lot of effort in responding quickly to any request before, during and after the stay of our guests.
We hope to see you next time, maybe before Christmas !
Stayed here 3-6 November with my boyfriend, we are a young couple, who have never travelled to Paris before! This hotel was perfect, friendly staff, room cleaned every day, super comfy bed ( boyfriend didn’t want to get out of lol), close to supermarkets, restaurants, kfc, McDonald’s etc, also 2 seconds away from metro, and also a huge shopping centre with shops like Zara, Adidas etc! Staff spoke very well English which was helpful as we only know about 2 words in french! Overall had a great stay in this hotel!
Thanks a lot for that good review! It’s a real pleasure to see the satisfaction of our guests!
So as you said, we are ideally located by the metro station Place d’Italie (lines 5-6-7) which drops you all over Parisian most attractive monuments (Eiffel Tour, Louvre museum, Opera, Notre dame Cathedral, North Station etc.).
Moreover, there is the shopping mall next to the hotel.
The staff welcomes you in French, English, Italian, German and Spanish. We are always happy to help and guide our guests.
Thanks again for your kind comment.
If you like a touch of style in terms of Audrey Hepburn then this hotel situated 1 minutes walk from the metro station is for you. Small but wonderful colour scheme with a collection of dresses around the lobby area. Small hotel bar but good wine selection. In the room a fridge is a welcome surprise. If you are disabled then room 304 is well suited if however you are not disabled you will have no shelf space in the bathroom. But on my visit the room was extremely quiet and staff were very attentive
thank you so much for your kind review! We are so honoured to be compared to a such styled actress!
All the staff is really pleased that you have appreciated your stay with us and all our services.
We hope to welcome you again in the Mercure Paris Place d'Italie!
