“Rooms like a cheap cruise cabin”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2012

We stayed at this hotel for just one night. The public areas are spacious and light and very nice. Restaurant is good although breakfast is not necessarily included in your room rate and at 9 Euros pp ( you can walk to a boulanger and buy fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolate for 7 euros for 4 people) is a little pricy. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room, guess they didn't have the space- literally.
The rooms are extremely small, the smallest I have ever seen, about the same size as an inside cabin on a cruise ship. The bathroom could possibly be smaller than a cruise ship cabin. A large person could definitely not bend over in it without hitting their head or alternatively opening the door and partially exiting the room to bend. All very clean but ideally suited to pigmies and other small people. Would definetly be impossible to add a child to the room.

Check out is at 12. the house keeper knocked on the door and told us to leave at 12.03!

Easy access from Metro to hotel. Standard hotel with quite small room, bit difficult with two suitcases, and maybe a bit too expensive for what you get - but it is Paris. Friendly staff and good choice at the breakfast buffet. Direct line from Gare du Nord and very close to Place Bastille and Marais with its restaurants and bars.

This is a no-frills hotel in a good central location. Very clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms are small. Breakfast was a good buffet for the price. Would recommend this for a short trip if you are mainly going to be out and about sightseeing. Efficient and friendly staff.

We stayed at this hotel for more than a week early June. Location is perfect. Metros buses or taxis can be easily found. Plenty of choices for dining... Surrounding is quite ok. Be carful of some rooms that need a bit of refurbishment. May be they have some projects coming up. Service is little distant at the restaurant. Breakfast buffet is fine but same stuff everyday need more variety and aslo they take much time to refil or to check what is over or missing. Most of front desk staff is with good customer service skills but couple of them we found very cold and not frIendly enough and which could have been better.... Finally I will still recommend this place for a very short stay and be aware of non refurbished rooms and you need to be little more demanding if that is required.

My husband and I stayed at Ibis hotel after a previous hotel disaster. Paris is a pretty expensive city....for us anyways. The hotel is not that expensive and definitely worth it. We tried to go the cheap way and booked a different hotel online. Once we got there I literally cried. It was horrible! Its not worth saving 50 Euros and possibly getting bed bugs or other disgusting things from a cheap hotel. I definitely learned my lesson about staying at chain hotels, which Ibis is. Its very clean, updated and nice. You have a very comfortable bed, TV with cable (only French channels of course) and a really nice bathroom with a shower (which is rare since Europeans like taking baths). The staff is helpful, nice and they have a good restaurant downstairs open until 10 pm. It's definitely a good place to stay at if you don't want to spend a fortune, like clean hotels and good service.
