Saint Paul is a very nice hotel! We felt warmly welcomed by the staff, and they were happy to help us and answer any questions at any time. The rooms were lovely! Very cozy and good looking. The room itself looks very chic, with its old-looking beams in the roof, wich by the way is higher than a typical hotelroom. The bathroom is absolutely perfect. New and clean, and actually quite big. The location of the hotel is also very nice. Just a few minutes walk to the latin quarters cozy streets. The river seine and notre dame is also just about 8-9 minutes walk. I will definitely stay again if returning to paris.

We have stayed at Hotel Saint Paul several times, most recently in July 2012 for 5 nights. The hotel is a typical small Parisian hotel with lots of ambiance. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are new and spotless. The location near the Luxembourg Gardens is convenient to most tourist sites (e.g., 15 minute walk to the Louvre, 5 minutes to the bustling Latin Quarter.) The hotel is easily accessible from CDG via the RER B(lue) line and a less than 5 minute walk from the Luxembourg Garden station up St. Michel to M. Rue de Prince. The Odeon metro stop is also close by.
Breakfasts and coffee are good (continental, of course).
There are some excellent restaurants near by (check out La Ferrandaise). A scene from Midnight in Paris was shot next door at Le Polidor (M. 41 Rue de Prince).
The cat adds character.
We'll be back.

Room Tip: We find that the regular rooms are small for couples so we now always book a superior room. Some ro...

We chose this hotel to begin our vacation in France and could not have been more pleased. The rooms are clean and charming. The management was accommodating, friendly and efficient. We are returning there to end our vacation and will return in the future without hesitation!

We booked two nights online and we are so happy with our choice! Reasonable rates, comfortable beds, clean baths with modern fixtures. The staff here are all warm, friendly and accommodating to arriving weary travelers ! We are returning there in a few days to enjoy one more night in Paris withSaint Paul Rive Gauche. I travel for a living and value the staff, accommodations and hospitality that this small but neatly appointed hotel offers. Located not far from The Sorbonne, it is a gem !
Special thanks go to Stephanie and Olivier who were there to help with our questions!!
We look forward to being your guests again!

Bonjour!!! We just returned from our first trip to Paris....and what a wonderful time we had!!! This hotel is in the Latin Quartier...a very relaxing and wonderful place to return to after each busy day in Paris! Rooms were clean and pleasant-bathrooms very modern and updated! The hotel staff was very helpful with reserving tours, giving directions etc...even the hotel mascot, their cat ,was great! When we return to Paris...we will definitely stay here again and we will recommend it to any of our friends travelling to Paris! Although we struggled to use our "French" they all understood us or could speak English and did not make us feel foolish! Restaurants in the neighborhood were excellent! Very authentic French cafes, bars and restaurants!
Merci Beaucoup!

Room Tip: The 20 extra euros for the deluxe room with the jacuzzi seemed well worth it! (Our friends had that...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche belongs to a Franco-British family, hoteliers for 4 generations, who have made the hotel a marriage of French elegance and English comfort. Situated on the line of Paris' former outer wall under Philippe Auguste, this 17th century building was once the home of Franciscan monks. The 31 bedrooms are colourful and range in style from the modern - vibrant flowered fabrics - to the traditional - exposed beams and elegant opaque curtains. There are beamed ceilings, faux ostrich bed-heads, clever corner armoires, even two baldaquin beds beneath the high ceilings of the lower floors. Entirely renovated in 2015, this boutique-hotel is close to everything, in the heart of the action, but in a quiet little street. The Luxembourg gardens vicinity and the so many walking distance sites like the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Pantheon, Cluny museum and the Louvre, make the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche a convenient pied-à-terre for enjoying the city. ... more   less
