The hotel needs major refurbishing. The towels were old, the baseboard was missing, the tissue holder kept falling off. For some reason, the room was always hot, even though it was cool out and the window was open. We messed with the air conditioning, but our room never really cooled down. Also, the shower never got warm enough for me.
The protests were annoying. They were in the lobby the first five days we were there and they finally ended today before we left. It was especially hard for us when we would head back to the hotel so our baby could nap and the banging drums would wake him up and keep him awake for hours. To add to this, we had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door and after finally getting our son to take his nap, housekeeping called our room to see if we wanted it cleaned and our son woke up.
On the good, we didn't have any problems with the staff. Sam was especially nice. It is close to public transport and walking distance to many sites.
I don't think I will stay at this hotel again. Although the location was convenient, I didn't really care for the area and I do not like how Accor hotels seem to nickel and dime every service they have (ie. no free wi-fi or breakfast).More
