The location is good as it is right on a subway line and easy connection from the Gare Du Nord. The rooms are indeed tiny, even by Euro standards, but the bathroom was good sized. The lobby and other common areas are nicely decorated and well maintained, unlike similar level of hotels.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon this past September and it was perfect. The location was amazing, you are within walking distance of the majority of attractions within the city, only a block away from the metro which takes you to the sites that are further away. And only a 15 minute walk to the train station which takes you to the palace of Versailles. The location is definitely the greatest feature about this hotel. Immediately after we arrived, my wife and I walked down the street and within minutes we found ourselves the the Luxembourg Garden, which is amazing to walk around, and is a great way of locating our hotel when walking back from other sites.
Another great feature about the hotel was the staff, they were very nice, helpful, and even humored my attempts at french based on my grade 9 knowledge. They constantly offered to help if we were in the lobby looking at maps trying to figure out where we were going, and they all had a very upbeat and friendly attitude. As for cleanliness, the room was always clean when we came back from a day of walking around the city, and when it was hot the maid would put on the air conditioner for us so that we could cool down when we got back.

Overall this hotel was perfect for what we needed on our honeymoon, and we will definitely look in to staying here again when we come back to Paris.

Room Tip: Our room had a window out onto the street, which added to the character of our room. The street is a...

I was disappointed. The room was very small, by Paris scale. E.g. there was only 15 cm on one side of the double bed. Air in the room the was sticky, despite the temperature of 18 degrees Celsius outside. A/C was operational but did not help too much.
The garden which is referred to in the name of the hotel actually is a small (approx 2 m by 8 m) wooden deck with some plastic trees.
Cleanliness in the main room appeared very good, but was not impressive in the bathroom (at more hidden places)
What I also found unusual for a hotel for that class: they do not store your luggage but forward you to a self-service luggage room in the basement.
Avoid breakfast: It is pricey and served in the basement.
Location is good: You will find restaurants, a good bistro (at the corner Bd. Raspail), a supermarket, etc. near the hotel. Don't miss Tour Montparnasse which in my view is more convenient for taking a panorama view than the Eiffel tower.

The location was perfect: lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby, the Luxemburg Gardens are just 1-2 blocks away, and the Blvd Raspail market on Mon, Fri, and Sundays. It's also close to several metro stations and the Montparnasse train station; the Port Royal RER station (e.g., to get to CDG airport) is just a short walk away. Though it's near two major Parisian boulevards, the hotel is relatively quiet as it's down a side street.

Our room was fairly quiet too, facing the courtyard, though that did make it a little bit dark. We didn't hear the neighbors except when they were entering their room or when they flushed or ran the tub. The large window in the bedroom was nice to have, as was the one in the bathroom. As a previous reviewer noted, the bathroom window is frosted but it's a thick treatment, making it completely opaque.

The room decor was pleasant, a nice mix of brown, tan, and orange; everything was quite clean. However, as others have mentioned, the room was small, shockingly so to us at first and we've stayed in small rooms in big cities before. The path to access the bathroom was via a narrow (we estimate less than 30 cm or 12 inches) section of floor along the foot of the bed. Visually, there is a little more space between bed and wall due to a narrow carpeted bump-out on the floor next to the wall (the color is off in one of our photos of the room but we included it because the bump-out is apparent).

Once you get accustomed to the size, however, you appreciate the thoughtful touches that have been made to maximize the use of space: the petite night tables have an extra shelf underneath, mini bedside lamps are wall-mounted, the writing desk has a shelf and some small drawers, the luggage rack fits inside the closet, and the TV is a wall-mounted flat panel type. The bathroom had a handy shelf as well. However, the bathroom shower fixture could have been better: it was somewhat rusted and the high hook to hang it on (to provide a shower) was very loose and would not hold the sprayer when water was flowing. However, despite these deficiencies, we would still consider staying here again given the overall nice room, helpful staff and great location.

Tiny room, but good bathroom, nice view onto the street (quiet enough) but the best thing about this clean, safe place is it's location. Direct on line 4 from Gare du Nord (Eurostar), just up the road from Jardin du Luxembourg (which is beautiful, a great spot for people watching). Breakfast wasn't included - we easily found pavement cafes in both directions offering good value. If you do have breakfast in, be aware it's served in the basement (no windows) so functional not romantic. Staff and service perfectly adequate. Good vfm. Note no swimming pool to my knowledge despite it being listed on TA amenities.
