We were staying at a hotel a few doors from this restaurant and noticed during our stay that it was always busy. There is outdoor and indoor seating -the restaurant is on quite a busy corner so there is a fair bit of traffic noise although for us this added to the general atmosphere of the place. This area is probably more local than touristy and therefore most of the other diners were French - again this added to the atmosphere.
We sat outside and were greeted quickly and offered an English menu , although our French is passable to be able to communicate. We both opted for the steak dish which was cooked just to our liking and was a very generous portion - with chips and salad. This was accompanied by a bottle of red wine, some water and then a plate of French cheeses and bread at a total of Euro 80 for two. Every aspect of the food and service was very good.
The restaurant was busy with a range of customer types, many of whom like us lingered over the wine and were not hurried. There are obviously a lot of regulars from the way they were greeted.
There is a good range of food on the menu from salads ( that looked amazing) to fish, meat and burgers - something for everyone. The desert menu looked lovely although we opted for the cheese which was delicious.
Very casual dining, with tables very close together but again for us this just added to the general French ambience. We would definitely return if staying in this area again.
