Very groovy hotel, think dramatic dark corridors with glow in the dark stars and light bright pretty rooms. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, very professional (and speak perfect English, so much appreciated if your French is as abysmal as mine...).
Apple computer in room which doubles as a TV.
Complimentary still and sparkling water.
Lovely small pool in basement adjacent to the spa.
Close to metro, walking distance to Musee D'Orsay. Also walking distance to a classic French department store.
There is a fabulous Italian restaurant a few doors down which reception recommended and booked for us.

Great hotel, the staff can speak very good english. I love the room, the mac, the shower (it has a back massager). The room is very clean, they do not clean it just once a day. If you happen to return in the middle of the day and leave for dinner, you'd be surprised upon your return to see that the room is clean again and your towels changed. They give free chocolates too everytime they clean the room. If you have kids, the room is only for 2 adults. We did not know about this but they allowed us to stay with our 2yr old son without an extra charge. The hotel is quite expensive compared to other hotels in Paris but it was worth it. It is really nice if you can stay in a comfortable place after walking the whole day. Also, you don't need to bring slippers, hair dryer, and toiletries, everything that you need is already provided.

I travel to Paris once a week for work and until I stayed at La Belle Juliette I genuinel dreaded the thought of spending a night at a Parisian hotel. But this one is excellent - has a mac in the room, beautiful, relaxing decor, aesthetically pleasing and laid back. Very professional staff, excellent service all round. Amazing location!

This exotically but tastefully decorated hotel would be a great place for a couple to use as a base for exploring Paris, eating, shopping etc. Americans and Brits will find the rooms small and the dark corridors claustrophobic. Its all a bit miniature although the staff were very helpful. This is certainly not somewhere to take kids( we did !) as there is no space for them ( the white stone garden is really a smoking area). This may all be remedied as they have bought and are developing the two buildings next door , which will have a huge garden, but in the meantime there is building noise so dont plan on sleeping after 8.30 am.
Overall a charming space for a smart couple who dont like lounging around hotels and who want to spring out of bed every morning to explore Paris on their doorstep.

La Belle Juliette is a delight. On a quiet side street in the 6th e, a short walk away from the Luxembourg Gardens and with metro, markets, and restaurants within blocks, it is a gorgeously decorated boutique hotel. The hotel staff speaks near perfect English and has excellent recommendations. They couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The whole hotel is stunningly decorated, in a contemporary style,. We loved our room (I definitely recommend a junior suite if you can afford it. The sitting room gives you some breathing space and while the rooms are large for a European hotel, some Americans might find they cozy). The lounge and pool are great bonuses. My only minor critique is that the showers are poorly designed - a tub/shower combo with water that leaks onto the shelves, which are the only storage space in the bathroom, and a shower curtain that sticks to your body. There was also extensive construction in the building next door (in beginning of June 2012) that looks like it will take some time to complete, so you might want to inquire about the status of that as there were some mornings with construction noise. Overall though, we LOVED the hotel. I would highly highly recommend it. A perfect find!

Room Tip: Each room is individually decorated. All rooms face a quiet street. The junior suites have a sitting...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
La Belle Juliette. The discreet luxury of a four-star hotel and the charm of an address that visitors and Parisians will give to their most demanding, cultured friends. In the pure Parisian tradition of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, the hotel is guided by a modern vision of romanticism and urban conviviality. Exceptional service with particular attention to hospitality, guests' well-being, calm and tranquility... All in the heart of bustling Saint Germain. Corinne and Pascal Moncelli, the owners of the hotel, have decided to breathe new life into an establishment that had been left to abandon on the rue du Cherche-Midi by telling the story - or rather stories - of a famous historical personality. This star of her time lived in the 19th century, frequented all the intellectuals and politicians of the era, was blessed with exceptional beauty, had an extraordinary love life and - above all - excelled in the art of receiving. The popular literary salon that she organised from the tender age of 15 attracted the greatest minds of the time and continued until her death, age 72! It is Juliette Recamier - famously known as La Belle Juliette - who gives her name to this new hotel. ... more   less
