A nice place to stop by at least for the art exhibitions. The Lutherian church is well preserved. It offers a peaceful break from the busy streets of Paris. Entrance is free.

Stumbled upon this place quite by accident.
The Cloître des Billettes is the only remaining medieval cloister in Paris. It takes it name from the former convent there, which housed the brothers of the Charité de Notre-Dame called Billettes, who later were given the name of Carmes (Carmites). The cloister is particularly remarkable for its very beautiful flamboyant vaults (arches). There was an artist displaying his work there, as this is what this space is frequently used for now. If your near the Hotel de Ville it's worth a quick stop. The area is certainly NOT "grubby". It's typical Paris with interesting architecture and lots of little shops.

The Cloitre itself is very small and disappointing. Very little to see so they have contemporary art of questionable quality hung here for sale. The attached church was closed and we were told that it was rarely open. The particular section of rue des Archives where this is located is pretty grubby.

1  Thank Randy M
