Small and cozy place. Excellent service. Extraordinary place near from Eiffel Tower. All the food was delicious. We will repeat this place next time for sure.

We picked the Firmin Le Barbier by TripAdvisor, as we looked for a place nearby Eifeltower.

By walking from the tower we were a little bit afraid due to the touristic restaurants at the nearby corner.

But the place was a great choice !

Very friendly service, small place for max 24 people, view into the kitchen with two busy cooks...
The menu has 5-6 dishes for starter and main course.
Our choices of asparagus as starter and fish or duck as main were all great! The chocolate tart was perfect ...

We will come back again!

Every hour walk on the street to watch the blinking Eifeltower

The food was terrific, with excellent flavor & plating. Escargot appetizer. Dandelion salad. Fish & lamb. A cut above its price class.

My husband and I dined at Firmin in early March. We had eaten at Firmin le Barbier shortly after it opened. We decided it was a good time to return since we could walk from our hotel.

From the time we entered we felt very welcome. Our server, I think her name was Gigi, was delightful and took very good care of us. Since our first time there, Firmin has retired and the new owner is the chef. Our food was superb from our appetizers to dessert. Our entrees were perfectly prepared as well. The wine that was suggested was excellent. I cannot say enough about the fine service and our food. If you are in Paris, do not miss the chance to dine at Firmin le Barbier.

Raining and a mess outside. We got there 15 minutes early and would not sit us. Told us to come back at our reservation time. Reservation time was at opening but come on... We would have ordered an expensive bottle of wine. We ended up choosing another restaurant in the area and had a great night.

Sir,

we found ourselves dumbfounded when we read your review.
It is quite unfair from someone who did not eat in our restaurant and showed nearly half an hour (6.38pm) before the opening to leave such a comment.
We, indeed, remember you very well, your wife giving us a pleasant and understable smile, thus agreeing coming back.
While waiting for quite some time, we had to refuse potential walk-in customers believing you would show up... but not.
It is not our aim to leave people outside when it rains, if it had been such a problem, you could have explained us.
Whether you buy an expensive wine or not, it would have been a pleasure to treat you right and apologize for the patience as common sense would suggest.
Unfortunately it seems you do judge before knowing what is real and such hypocritical and capricious comment of yours tells a lot.

Sincerely,

A.Vialatte
Chef de Cuisine / owner
