The hotel is well placed to see all the sights. Great arrival from CDG Airport direct on the RER. The room we had was at the back of the hotel (very quiet) and although rather small was beautifully decorated and the bed comfortable and with a fabulous shower. Really clean room and great linens and towels provided. A quality small hotel. The staff were most helpful especially Karim who speaks excellent English. A lot of good restaurants nearby at reasonable prices. Complimentary tea and coffee available in the lounge area from 12.00 on. Great after a long day trailling the sights. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms at back very quiet we were in 204.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel le Petit Paris one night as part of an extended layover on our way to Istanbul.

Being somewhat familiar with Paris I knew that the location of this hotel would be tough to beat. It's close enough to the Luxembourg RER station to lug your carry-ons from the train from Charles de Gaulle to this hotel and not feel stressed. From the hotel you can walk to pretty much anything within 30 minutes and you are surrounded by great shops, restaurants, and bars.

The staff at the hotel is very friendly, quick to offer you a complimentary espresso or tea upon arrival and very professional through-and-through. There was some minor construction taking place in the room adjacent to ours and they made sure that the work was halted before we checked in to our room so that we would not be disturbed.

The room itself was well-appointed and comfortable. There had been some recent upgrades so some of the light fixtures still needed to be plastered in, but that was a very minor issue.

All-in-all our stay at Hotel le Petit Paris was very pleasant and I hope yours will be, too.

This hotel is very modern, clean and beautifully furnished but it is small. We had a superior room and the finishings were exquisite and very evocative of bygone Parisien eras but sadly as I am not capable of travelling light (obviously more my own fault than the hotel's) irt was a real struggle to park my suitcase. the bed was huge and the rest of the room felt squashed around it. There was also a table and 2 chairs squeezed in which really there was no need for and the toilet was on the opposite side of the room to the bathroom and easy to become disoriented in with the sliding door. So that was quite annoying. The staff were absolutely lovely - very helpful with recommendations etc and the hotel is wonderfully situated on rue Jacques right beside the timeless Pantheon, so it is very easy to walk to St germain, and Notre dame and these walks (even in the pouring rain) are lovely. We stayed for 3 nights and in comparison to the value we had in the south of France this hotel (over 700 euro for 3 nights plus breakfast) felt very expensive. However, although I certainly would not call it good value, it is very very beautifully decorated, the staff are lovely, the rooms are too small but beautifully finished so I can see where the money goes. Plus it is a lovely touch to have free internet access in the lobby. One final point - don't think the breakfast is all that good, but i would recommend this hotel to travellers who travel light and like a bit of luxury at a relatively affordable price.

Room Tip: Definitely go one or 2 up from the classic rooms. They are probably doll size.

I went with my son for 3 nights to do a bit of culture and practice speaking French. This hotel is perfect if you are going to be out and about, it is close to lots of good restaurants as well as an easy walk to the Luxembourg gardens and St Germain des Pres. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, modern and comfortable. Nice l'Occitane products, good sheets, all you could want really. Very helpful reception.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the not over the street.

We visited the hotel over the Easter weekend and stayed for three nights. We were very impressed overall and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a modern, clean, quiet base to explore Paris in a good location.

First the good points. We arrived at the hotel prior to check in time and the gentleman on reception was more than happy to store our bags whilst we went off for the day. However, he went above and beyond, and asked us whether we needed any help deciding where to go, provided us with a map and drew on the hotel location and the points we wanted to visit. A very good first impression! The lobby itself is modern and inviting. As others have said, there is complimentary tea and coffee from 12 noon to 12 midnight and a honesty bar from 6pm onwards. There was a nice selection of teas, as well as mineral water, which was nice to return to after a long day exploring. The free wifi worked very well in the lobby and it was a good place to sit and relax and make restaurant reservations/go on TripAdvisor! There were some leaflets in the lobby as well as some general information about locally recommended restaurants and things to do. Make sure you get the leaflet about the Paris Museum Pass - we made a considerable saving from this and it allows you to queue jump at a number of attractions.

The room itself was modern and well decorated. The bed had clean, comfy sheets and on Easter day we returned from our day out to find small but delicious Easter eggs on the bed - a nice touch. The bathroom was fantastic - there was only a shower, but this is all we would want anyway, and it was extremely hot and powerful. Great for recharging those batteries after a long day walking around Paris. The bathroom had modern tiling and little tiny lights that made it into something special. The toilet was in a separate little room. We were on the third floor and had a view down to the Courtyard (if you looked hard) or otherwise onto the rooftops of neighbouring buildings. There was a half decent hairdryer, L'Occitane toiletries and complimentary water each day.

We couldn't fault the staff - helpful and friendly at all times.

Location was great - 2 minute walk to the RER which links directly to CDG airport and the stop for Notre Dame. We mostly walked everywhere, it was a couple of minutes to the Pantheon and 10/15 minutes to Notre Dame area. Anywhere else (such as Montmartre, Arch de Triomphe) is easily accessible by Metro. The surrounding area was nice, felt very safe and included a number of nice restaurants. We would recommend Les Papilles (30 second walk away) which we visited and really enjoyed - make reservations.

Now to the down sides.. I must say that overall we enjoyed this hotel immensely but there were just a few niggles that, for me, stopped it being the perfect 5. Admittedly we booked a standard room, but it was tiny. I have not stayed in other Paris hotels, but have stayed in New York and London and had bigger rooms for comparable prices. There were also no tea and coffee making facilities in the room - I appreciate that there are in the lobby, but only from midday and I like to have a hot drink in the morning whilst I have a shower and get ready and we weren't able to do that (unless one of us wondered out to the street to locate a cafe to bring one back from). The wifi was patchy at best in our room. Finally, the air conditioning unit seemed to be quite noisy at night, to the extent that my husband had to get up and try and switch it off/play around with it. If these small issues were sorted, this hotel would have been perfect.

Overall, a great experience and we would happily go there again (although we would probably opt for a superior room).
