The prices of the hotel Banke are as reasonable as many 3 or 4 star hotels in Paris, but the appointments and service are definitely 5-star. Our first room, a superior room, was compact but well appointed and comfortable. After 3 days we decided to take advantage of their offer to upgrade to a deluxe room (2 levels up) for only $40 Euros per night. The room was capacious and beautifully appointed, the bathroom was huge and also beautifully appointed. So glad we did that, five more nights in the lap of luxury! The staff is very accommodating and the restaurant is Michelin rated. The hotel is located right across the street from the Lafayette Galleries, one of the most happening shopping venues in Paris. There is a subway station for the 7 and 9 lines right on the block and plenty of Michelin rated restaurants in walking distance. Technically the hotel is located in the Opera district and in reasonably close proximity to the Louvre, Orsay and many other attractions. Great view of the Sacre Coer a few hundred feet away on the side street. The staff is very accommodating, and I mean the whole staff from the Bellman to the front desk, concierge, maintenance staff (had a tiny AC problem they fixed in 10 minutes) right to the house keeping staff, all very friendly and helpful. If you want a real treat in a reasonably priced true 5-star stay at the Hotel Banke!

Room Tip: The Deluxe rooms are absolutely Luxurious.

This absolutely gorgeous hotel is located in the posh 9th Arrondissement just a few blocks from Palais Garnier Opera House where the famous Phantom of the Opera story takes place. My girlfriend was greeted with a beautiful red rose upon our check-in, we felt the ellagance from the moment we arrived. This hotel is stunningly beautiful, small rooms but comfortable. I don't know what it is about European Hotel showers where they have what feels like a glass enclosure that only covers about 1/4 of the shower and or tub area which means you will be splashing water all over the floor but we experienced the same thing in London so don't blame this hotel it seems to be an Eropean stylistic trend for some reason which is very impractical LOL. The staff speaks English, they are extremely friendly and willing to help with just about anything you need. It is conveniently located to multiple Metro stations which allow you to easily get around the city and back with minimal walking from station to hotel. Also there is a bus line Roissy Bus that takes you to and from the airport that drops you off right by the Opera building as well which is only about 12 Euros per person each way and it will save you a lot of money getting to and from the airport as a cab generally will run you 50 euros and Uber was actually would have cost around 76 euros when we checked before going to the Airport.

We had a 3 night stay at this hotel - on entering the foyer it is beautiful - very funky and quirky and very welcoming front of office staff/concierge. Our room (Superior) was very clean and nicely decorated, albeit a little smaller than we imagined - maybe this is the norm for Paris - especially considering the central location.. ?? There was an issue with the room which was dealt with immediately and professionally - which meant we were upgraded to one of the suites for one night (WOW… beautiful!!). The next day they arranged for another room for us which was fine and slightly bigger than our original one so we were happy. Again the staff dealt with everything brilliantly and went above and beyond to ensure everything was ok. The only reason we haven't marked this as a '5' is that for a 5 star hotel we would have hoped for some tea and coffee making facilities in the room and complementary water - we have stayed in various 5* hotels around the world and this is usually the 'norm'.
