Pros: we had difficulty finding the hotel in our car, so the young woman at the desk came to meet us where we were "stuck" (not far from hotel) and drove with us to parking area -- free parking, though a bit of a schlep to the hotel door! (Had we known that locating the hotel and parking was going to be such a hassle, we might not have been annoyed by those issues.)
The young woman could not have been lovelier, nicer or more helpful.
Rooms are clean and spacious.
Location is excellent.
Building is beautiful (unusual and impressive) from the outside.

Cons:
Aside from our lovely young woman, the rest of the staff was less than wonderful. Especially the young man at the desk in the morning, who seemed to feel that he was too good for his job (or something) and came across as pretentious/condescending/silly all at once.
Rooms are dark and the decor is minimalist to the point of depressing -- also kind of tacky. I guess they're trying to be cool, but it doesn't work. Just feels like a chain hotel once you're in your room.
Morning coffee was seriously awful...which was the opposite of our experience everywhere else in Corsica.
Amenities in the bathroom are pretty cheesy for a place that purports to be high-end.
Ajaccio was our least favorite place in Corsica...so I doubt we'd return either to the city or to the hotel.

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The hotel choices in Ajaccio are not great and this I believe was the best of the hotels that are within walking distance of the town center. Its location, 200M from the water, was convenient.

As noted in several TripAdvisor reviews the interior design reflects the work of someone who is in dire need of a course of anti-depressants! Dark colors were used for the paint, furnishings and drapes. Our room had a patio and we were able to get some light but our travel colleagues described their rooms as "caves". To be honest this was the only fault I had with the room. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, clean and well appointed.

The continental breakfast provided by the hotel was dismal! The breads were not very fresh. The cereals were likely bought in the Ajaccio version of Tesco! The orange juice was from a "fast-food chain dispenser". One of the most bizarre things however is that there was a shortage of silverware....serious! EACH morning the attendant was in a panic finding me a spoon for my "Tesco" cornflakes. She would run off to some back room and after some time would come back with one spoon...The whole performance was repeated many times as other colleagues came in for breakfast. It became a joke with the group.

The staff were fantastic! Very helpful and actually gave you the feeling that they were delighted that you came to stay in their hotel.

A few tips....do not be tempted to eat in the restaurants on/near the water! The food is awful (and I will usually eat anything). There is a seafood restaurant 100M away from the hotel called "La Bosco" and it was there that we had the best meal of our stay! Just up from La Bosco is a cross street with several restaurants. They are definitely the best in town.

There is a promenade along the water about 200m to the left of the hotel and was a great place to run.

Finally, If you read this while planning your trip to Corsica I would add that one day is enough to spend in Ajaccio....if you real really must go there. It has a few nice walks, a daily produce market and some "cute" shopping areas. But that is it! Its a very busy cruise ship port and as such the town is replete with shops selling T-shirts and trinkets.

Bottom line....if you have to go to Ajaccio I would stay at Palazzo U Domu...no question. However, I would first ask "Do I really need to go to Ajaccio"

We stayed in the Plazzo U Domo for a week and were unfortunate enough to be hit for a €20 /day parking as there is no street parking to be had anywhere in Ajaccio! Definitely worth taking note of. Our initial reaction was not good. An exceedingly gloomy reception area teeming with departing guests but we had checked in early and it was never that busy thereafter (although it remained just as gloomy). On the plus side our room was lovely, large, with views over the sea and a decent sized bathroom with excellent shower and very clean. And the WiFi worked adequately. Now to breakfast. What a pitiful affair. The first day we were treated to one selection of cereal (the cheapest cornflakes imaginable, one choice of yoghurt (plain), fresh fruit salad (nice), some tasty cheese and ham and a limited selection of tiny pastries. Mediocre coffee (the urn was forever running out). All served in a soulless courtyard with puddles of water where the plants had been watered. The next day we thought we’d give it another go. Exactly the same offering without the cheese and ham. Apparently these were laid on for the business people who were staying the day before. We could have them but for a supplement. At that point we decided to not bother with the €12/person breakfast (thereby paying for our parking!). The main advantage to staying here is location. A stone’s throw away from the house where Napoleon was born, the cathedral, the daily market, the port with its bus tours and boat trips and some great restaurants. So if you don’t have a car, want to be ideally located and are happy to have breakfast in one of the numerous cafes nearby, this is the place for you.

Hotel is well located in downtown Ajaccio. Our room was really clean and well acquainted. The size of the room was OK and we were lucky to have a door giving access to the balcony. We stayed there on our last night in Ajaccio so it was convenient the next morning to go to the airport (around 15 minutes max). Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience except the wifi that did not work very well. As we were leaving very early in the morning, we did not have a chance to have breakfast there. We recommend this hotel for a short stay (1-2 nights).

Stayed here for a week in mid August. The staff were pleasant and the location was good. However, I'm struggling for more positives than that. There were flys on the croissants every morning and the building looked generally worn and in need of updating. My daughters' bed sheets weren't changed for a week. The floor was filthy and although a small factor, there was no conditioner or shower caps.
