A pre-dinner aperitif and amuse bouche on the terrace before wandering through to the dining room sets the tone for a most elegant evening. Its easy to go silly on the wine here you are caught up in the mood of being somewhere very special. Along with a handful of restaurants in Paris this is a most wonderful venue to enjoy a great meal. We chose the tasting menu and accompanied that with a particularly nice bottle of DP P2 along with a great bottle of Montrose Bordeaux which seemed relatively good value. The head sommelier pouring did a good job but was a bit austere The food was very good but maybe not quite as impressive as our lunch time last year. For coffees and brandy we moved to the atmospheric bar area which really completed a lovely experience. Service throughout was formal but every effort was made to engage with us in English.
