We were spoiled for choice in Villandry for somewhere to eat. This restaurant suited us as we'd trekked from the parking space at the Mairie. It is situated on a road junction with several outside tables, where you can choose to be in the sun or in the shade. They serve excellent beer (and wine); the food was perfectly acceptable and not terrifically expensive. After a copious lunch we visited the chateau, after which we returned to the restaurant in the early evening to have another beer, people-watch and discuss the meaning of life.
