Stayed here one night on our Rick Steves tour of Europe. Our room was nice, bathroom was largest of the ones we had on the trip. I suspect all the rooms are different. Location is convenient to town, Breakfast outside in the courtyard was nice.

We enjoyed our three nights in a suite at Hotel des Remparts, a 10 min walk from the train station. It is located inside the old city walls, against the ramparts, in a fairly quiet part of town, a short walk from restaurants, sites, tourist office, and most anything else for which one comes to Beaune. The courtyard is charming and historic, a lovely place for breakfast. the room is large, good aircon, good bed, and excellent modern bathroom. A very good value, we would return and recommend the place to others looking for local hospitality. They were happy to make restaurant reservations for us and offer directions and information as needed. The building has been in the family for many generations.

Room tip: Rooms facing courtyard are charming. Some ground floor rooms, most are one, two, or three flights up.

Hotel Des Remparts was a convenient spot to rest our heads. The location is close enough to busier parts of town, but is still quiet. The room that we were given was very no-frills, and was more dated than most of the pictures suggest. That said, it was clean and met our needs. For a reasonably priced option I'd stay here again.

We choose this hotel in view of a short 10-15min walk from the train station. The roads are not exactly smooth, lots of rocky ones too but manageable with 4-wheel luggage. We were give a Third floor rooms next door to each other but the issue is there is no lift, so might be helpful to inform the hotel early if you have luggages for lower floor. The room was nice which is different from city room. Spacious but there are no coffee machine or kettle, this being said no complimentary water. the floor is made of stone so if you are not used to it please bring your own bedroom slippers.

The only downside (for us) was the winding staircase to our top level room, BUT, it was unexpectedly BEAUTIFUL! The old huge beams that ran across the ceiling added unbelievable character to any room (Rm32) we had in Europe. The air conditioning was flawless. The bed was absolutely clean, very comfortable, spacious, and well presented as you entered. The room had a refrigerator with cold drinks (extra cost).
The bathroom was spacious, but be aware of the Europe tub and shower wand setup.
There was lot of room to move around. This is a top floor so we had slanted walls.

The hotel - fabulous, charming, and welcoming owners (Martine). Wow courtyard! If you want the french country experience, I very highly recommend this hotel. We have been to Beaune before, and this was a nice stay.

This hotel is inside the ramparts and a 5 minute walk to the interior square (Hotel Dieu)

Sip the Grand Cru and travel well!
I hope this review was helpful to your travel
plans
