This was our first trip to Bordeaux, but not to France. We found the hotel to be perfectly located in the heart of Bordeaux. Any sites, shops, or restaurants you'd like to patronize are within a short walking distance. The rooms are spacious and light. Although I'd thought at first that having the shower and sinks open to the room would be inconvenient, the shower is large (mostly glass) and the toilet is discretely in it's own area with a door. Actually, this design plan made the room seem less closed in than most hotel rooms. The bed was large (king) and comfortable. As others have noted, there is not much storage for clothing (we stayed a week), but somehow it worked out alright. The plasma TV had English, French, German, and Japanese channels and an iPod dock was available. The inner garden area is perfect for morning coffee and after dinner conversation. However, perhaps one of the best things about this hotel is the staff who were uniformly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You won't go wrong staying at the Le Boutique Hotel and we will definitely stay here the next time we're in Bordeaux.
