“Adequate for overnight stop”
Reviewed 16 June 2012

We stayed here just for a stop over on the way to Spain. On the plus side there was secure parking and room was quiet. Also very convenient for the motor way. On downside room and hotel very dated (had stayed at a Kyriad the night before and that was much better). Probably better places to stay. I'd only recommend as a stop-over hotel and to be fair that's probably what it is mainly catering for.

Front desk a bit chaotic - tried to charge us twice - but easily sorted out.

Bordeaux itself was very impressive and would def come back for a long weekend to fully experience its charms. Would stay somewhere els though if without the car.

I arranged a nights stay, en-route, at this hotel. I selected it because of the "reported" location. As this was a VERY special occasion being our 30th Wedding Anniversary trip, i wanted ALL to be perfect. I need never have feared as the Hotel was First Class. The reception was very profession. As we were are "typical" tourist and our command of French is VERY limited, we were put to ease straight away, as they spoke excellant English. The room was very well laid out and beds very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant "on-site" that night. Food, very good and again the service was first class. Breakfast was buffet-type and there was a great selection of good quality items there. If you have need to be using "Palace of Congress" this hotel is in a perfect loction for this use.

The hotel was basic but room over looked the lake, hence made up for its bareness
The room was spacious neat and clean, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was large
and spacious. Breakfast was tasteless, machine tea and coffee useless, it fell short
of the standard.

Room Tip: overlooking the lake on the 2nd floor

Spent 2 nights at this hotel and found the accommodation up to Ibis good standard. The room was clean and so were the public area. Excellent location for an across country trip from Northern Spain with time to explore the city.
