Went with my wife for her birthday and took the 6 plats. Everything was to perfection and am already planning to go back.Keep up the great /outstanding work.

On a funny note though. While we have been there several times I never bothered to read the - very few , only 15(!) - reviews.
While some people may take issue with Jean Yves's replies I simply found them hilarious and only demonstrate his extreme dedication/passion for the food he invents

Seven of us returned to JYS after four years, and in the meantime Chef Jean-Yves Schillinger has earned a second Michelin star for his charming restaurant along the canal in Colmar’s old town. Schillinger has an uncanny ability to combine unexpected flavors and textures to delight the palate and an artistic flair for presentation to delight the eyes. Since we are all former members of a cooking club, we opted for the full eight course (12 servings) menu at EUR 124. Over nearly four hours, we enjoyed an amazing array of tastes. For example, early entries included duck foie gras with quince and seared scallops with crispy veal tongue, black pudding and satey sauce. Other seafood offerings included hake back with a béarnaise reduction and arctic char confit. Challans duck with a smear of smoky sweet potato puree was the finale of main courses. Several “pre-desserts” came before the cheese cake with bergamot and citrus compote topped with meringue. Everything was served in unique and complementary plates and bowls with impeccable service for a totally satisfying experience.

Amazing food and service. From the moment I was greeted at the door and seated the magic started. At first a miniature olive tree was placed on the the table with delicious olives attached, then course after course of incredible food arrived. I had the foie gras and sweetbreads accompanied by a wonderful French Bordeaux. One of the people who served my table was the chef's wife who could not have been more charming. This was by far the best meal that I had in Colmar. A must for any foodie visiting the area.

What a wonderful place with imaginative cuisine in an idyllic setting. Located next to a canal this charming restaurant. Is headed by Jean-Ives Schiller Nigeria and his charming wife. The menu is whimsical and delicious and each course is better than the last. A wonderful wine list of the areas wines and others are available. Save room for their over the top desserts.
Prices are very fair for a Michelin starred place and Service Is excellent. A very pleasant atmosphere is here and a few tables are outside in good weather. Make sure you drop in for a memorable meal

The food was amazing as was the service and the vibe in general. Our server recommended an excellent wine to accompany our meal. I recommend making a reservation at least two weeks in advance if you plan to visit during the Christmas market. The Chef is top notch and spent a lot of time with us after the lunch service was finished. This is a special place!
