Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester

I stayed here with my husband whilst visiting Manchester for a wedding; it had been chosen by the bridal party because of it's central location so that visitors to Manchester could see the city. We had arranged an early check-in but as we arrived earlier than expected our room wasn't ready, the reception staff got a room ready for us within 20 minutes. The reception staff and concierge were very helpful and polite.
The rooms were clean, modern and well equipped with everything you would expect in a hotel of this rating. The room we were in had been recently refurbished and whilst we were staying there there was building work (re-carpeting etc ) going on in the rooms next to us. There was a little daytime noise but as we were out in the daytime it was not a problem. We did not have time to use all the facilities but the spa and pool seemed well kept and again staff were very helpful.
The best thing about the hotel was the location, it is in easy walking distance of Manchester city centre and lots of local attractions (e.g. museum of science and industry, John Rylands library) as well as shops at the Arndale centre and restaurants.
Breakfast was standard buffet and if anything overpriced (£18) even for a top hotel, there are lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants just outside the hotel offering similar food for far less.
Overall it was a good hotel in good location to get the most from Manchester city centre. I have stayed at other Radisson hotels and so far have not been disappointed. Looking at the other reviews if you shop around you can get really good deals for rooms (even with the wedding discount it was not cheap compared to other Manchester hotels, the breakfast added significantly to the price compared to other hotels) but I felt it was still worth the money to stay here.

The hotel offered a price of only £82 a couple staying in a lovely double bedroom.

The hotel is siutated in the city centre, a stones throw away from The Hilton and NCP overnight carpark in Deansgate. Easy to find and great for shopping, nightlife and so on.
The concierge service was great and the check-in speedy and helpful. The hotel is very well kept and very clean with friendly and informative staff.
Rooms are a decent size with all mod cons and offer those extras you sometimes don't get elsewhere.

Bar and Restaurant are beautiful. Bar prices are typical 5* prices but a worthy stop.
The Spa is great and definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic hotel - well worth a trip for added luxury at very reasonable prices. Strongly advise booking a Radisson Blu anywhere.

As a last minute decision my daughter and myself booked into this hotel, having been disappointed with a previous hotel in Manchester. We had a lovely room, enjoyed the spa and particularly enjoyed a wonderful meal in the Opus One Restaurant. I can really recommend this hotel for anyone who is not sure where to stay in the City. The staff are very professional and yet friendly. We stayed 2 nights and would stay here again.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel I didn't think it could get better than the first time but it has.The staff I am happy to say are mostly still there and we were even remembered when we walked in by one of the team. The hotel must really invest in its product as there are so many new additions ( the golden Lamaa's in reception are ace ! ) and various artwork around the place - there is no wear and tear at all since our last visit. They have replaced the Band and Olufsen TV's with flat screen TV's - I suppose that's what people want nowadays and the picture is perfect. The true highlight was seeing not only the band members from McFly but meeting STEPS too as they left - Well if its good enough for them its good enough for us ( not that we needed the celebs to tell us that ) We love this place and have just booked a week in late august - Cannot wait is an understatement !
