Belated review for a fabulous lunch served by delightful friendly staff. Delicious homemade lemonade and fantastic unusual salads and frittata. Difficult to choose what not to have! Looking forward to visiting again to sample more from the menu. Very good value.

Oak Street Cafe is my favourite place to eat in all of the Northern Quarter, it has a really fun feel to it being surrounded by so 20+ artist studios & you can always count on some top disco tunes to be playing whilst you enjoy your lunch/coffee. I almost always go for the super tasty mackerel melt, along with a freshly ground cup of coffee! The staff are always friendly and everything's homemade in their little kitchen - overall a beautiful independent little cafe, definitely worth a visit!

Visited this lovely little cafe yesterday for lunch whilst at the Craft and Design Centre on a day out to Manchester. The staff were friendly, the service was good and the food and tea were delicious. I had the frittata and my friend had the yam curry and loose leaf camomile tea. We would certainly recommend the cafe and the Craft and Design Centre for a Christmas shopping trip. We had a very enjoyable day in Manchester.

After we visited the shops we stopped in to enjoy a cup of tea, some ginger refresher and tea cakes with butter. The ladies who served us were friendly and helpful. The tea was spot on and the ginger drink was indeed refreshing. The toasted tea cakes were yummy. For four it was under £15.

We stopped for a drink and cake, but they also did amazing lunches, all homemade loveliness.
We were served by a lovely and helpful lady. The homemade ginger refresher drink was gorgeous.
