I'd put a millstone around my neck before going here again. Dour staff, bog standard beer selection but what was most unpleasant was the atmosphere. a surly air of what are you doing here and why.An unpleasant experience and one that won't be repeated.

What can you say about this pub ?

‘It’s a rough and ready pub! ........that sums the place up !

It is an old fashioned city centre pub located in the heart of what has become a trendy area in a rundown part of Manchester City centre.

Yes the pub is tatty, yes it caters for the older, lower spending end of the market BUT it’s a great old boozer, like a lot of it’s clientele! It has a great rep for being a sing-song bar.

If you want a genuine pub this is the place.....if you want a plastic pub, where you will pay an arm and a leg for your drinks, then go elsewhere, you will find plenty of them in the ‘Northern Quarter’.

Use this pub or we will lose it. Do we need another bistro bar full of people drinking overpriced ‘craft’ beers !

Live in the Canaries I come here twice a year the beer is good and the staff are great but...they have mostly karaoke nights. The host is rude and obnoxious he has a very limited genre and is only friendly to the male clientele. He really can't be bothered with the female clients. If you want a average pint.. it's ok but if you come to participate in the entertainment..dont bother...youll be fobbed off..Shame he spoils the atmosphere!
