“Lovely hotel with ideal location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2012

This is the 1st time we've ever stayed at a hotel before flying. We stayed on 4th April 2012 (flying to Cuba the following day) and we weren't disappointed. Don't judge it from the outside as it looks a little daunting but everything from the inside is stunning. The service is number 1, being checked in easily and quickly with lots of advice on what to do whilst staying. there. We had a family room with a double bed and a single bed which was all set up when we arrived.
The rooms are beautiful with a 32'' LCD TV that had a wide choice of channels and a lovely bathroom. Our view wasn't stunning but what do you expect at an airport??
We spent the evening in the Irish bar situated in the hotel. For a hotel bar I found it great value for money and regardless of the food being around £10 each you could see why when it was brought to you. The portions are fit for a king and delicious. A great way to start your holiday.
The beds are very comfortable and the hotel offer a wake up call service (with a full refund on your room if they don't call so very reliable). It's then down to the reception and onto their own complimentary shuttle bus service to the terminal which is about a 2 minute drive if that. We were very impressed with the overall experience and will definitely be staying again

Room Tip: Don't expect a stunning view, you'd be silly if you were. It's an airport so your view i...

Stayed two nights over weekend, although we were not flying anywhere - it was just cheaper than city centre, which is only a short train journey away. Parking and food and drink and wifi access not particularly cheap, as is usual with such places, but all else very pleasant indeed. Would very willingly return.

As per my other reviews, I've stayed at a number of the hotels at Manchester Airport due to being there on business and I have to say that the Crowne Plaza is easily the best on offer.

First and foremost - check-in. It's fair to say that the hotel doesn't have the most efficient check in service and unfortunately this was only exacerbated by a computer failure this week which saw queues of over 20 minutes at reception, which in normal circumstances would clearly be unacceptable. However, this was due to the IT system issue and there was a sign up to explain the problem - in addition the staff were very apologetic and I felt it was handled well - they apologised again profusely on check-out which I appreciated.

The hotel its self has an excelllent bar/restaurant with a wide variety of food which was easily the best of any of the hotels in the area. The two ladies serving in the hotel bar couldn't have been any more helpful, and I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere watching the football on TV (which is on at low volume so as not to disturb). There is also an oriental style restaurant on-site which I've yet to try but the menu looks good.

The rooms are standard fayre and perfectly serviceable and the beds are among the most comfortable I've slept in. Okay, so the rooms are a little on the small side but with a 32" LCD TV work area and well equipped bathroom had no complaints. Unfortunately my bedroom window had been left open by the cleaners but a blast of the air conditioning unit on high heat put me right.

The gym facilities are basic - a couple of cardio machines and 3 or 4 weight machines...but it's enough to get at least some sort of work out. A small selection of free weights and bench would be an ideal addition.

All in all I really enjoyed my stay here, especially when compared to the other hotels in the area and went back for a second visit the following week. The food is great, the staff are friendly and it just feels a little more professional than even the Radisson Blu across the road which was a pleasant surprise. With antother few visits to the airport on the cards I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here on the evening of 26th with some business colleagues that had flown in for a couple of days from the United States an exceptionally large hotel with a choice of bars and restaurants and plenty of areas to sit and chat.we ate and drank in the hotel whilst the food was reasonably priced in the Thai-oriental restaurant drinks were charged at premium rates.
i am not sure but it appered the restaurant was franchised and not part of the hotel which would explain the rasonable price food was ok but nothing to write home about.
The rooms were ok not as big as the ones i generaly get at the sister hotels holiday inns.
Nice big flat screen tv although i must admit i did not have time to use it the bed was exceptional one of the most comfotable i have slept in for ages but dont expect to lay in if staying a few nights as the double glazing does not hide the noise of the planes.
Before leaving we had a breakfast meeting great choice of food hot and cold nice fruit juice and real coffee.
A plus for the hotel is its 24 hour room service and the great bar and checkout staff.
Downside Parking is £12.50 for 24 hours some of the other Airport Hotels offer this Free
Charge for Internet. And expensive bar prices many people hop in a taxi and go to one of the nearby towns or villages where bars and eateries are in abundance.

Wish I'd stayed here for the whole week instead of park 'n' ride. More smiling friendly people in lobby and restaurant than in the whole of Malta. Fab room, great dinner and fantastic vfm (£25 including two bar drinks and three courses). Excellent quality and service. Drop any preconceptions about 'chain-budget' hotels all ye who enter here.

Room Tip: I'd say ask for a quiet room, but to be honest, I didn't hear a plane the whole time I was t...
