We arrived at 2am and within minutes were had carried out all the formalities and were happily in our apartment, We were on the forth floor in a very spacious, well designed and exceptionally clean apartment that seemed to contain all the comforts of home. the staff were always smiling and helpful. We doubt that we will ever use a 'conventional' hotel ever again; it will always be Roomzzz from now on!

Room Tip: suites on the upper floors are all quiet. hotel is very quiet.

Due to the excellent reviews - I had high hopes for 'Roomzzz' but was a few problems is forcing me to leave a poor review.

So the rooms are decent and very clean, staff at checking in/out were very nice too. Breakfast grab and go was decent too.

Problems:

First of all, the fire alarm woke us at 10 with no explanation. We was asleep, jumped out of bed and it went off. Okay - maybe it was a drill, but no apology when brought up later..

At 11:15AM (still trying to sleep, we booked late checkout at the desk on check-in) we received 2 phone calls and a bang on the door asking why we hadn't checked out yet - I explained we had booked late check out but the lady was adamant we didn't! I thought I had already paid (although we hadn't), the checkin card that came with the room key even said 1PM on it. The woman at the door said it's fine, just pay on check-out. So we thought that was that..

Then at around 11:30 (just as we had settled down hoping for an hours rest), we received another phone call asking why we were still in the room and I had to explain AGAIN we had already booked a late checkout! I was frustrated at this point, and then they asked if we needed water after 12PM as it was being shut off! I said I'm not sure yet as we didn't know if we were having a quick shower yet and I honesty just wanted to get another hours rest after weeks and weeks of barely any sleep.

So after being disturbed 3 times we couldn't get back to sleep, so asking for a late check out turned out to be pointless - and just disturbed my entire stay. At around 12PM (when I assumed they shut the water off), there was a horrible smell of sewers in the room!

It may seem like I'm nitpicking on a misunderstanding - but we specifically requested this on check-in, was disturbed 3 times about it (2phone calls and a bang on the door) and wasn't told about water being shut off.

The man on checkout was very nice and waived the £10 check-out, so no issues with him - but we never received an apology, and the fact that we was constantly disturbed from 10AM onwards was very disappointing.

Unsure whether I would spend money here again, as the entire reason we did was to have a relaxing night where we could sleep in and not worry.

Staff friendly and helpful. Good location. Great room sizes. Like the style of the building and the microwave / fridge etc in the room.

Improvements: poor smell coming from the water in the bathroom. The grab and go breakfast not ready on time (15 min late) and we were leaving for a relatively early flight. Hotel a bit noisy. Small point but ...I don't understand why any hotel supplies shampoo / conditioners etc in tiny little bottles that you cannot read the writing on (see photo) either in daylight and certainly not when you are in the shower.

Value: not bad overall. Would use again.

We arrived for check-in just after 1500. Really quick with check-in a just a £20.00 pre-authorisation for for the studio apartment and £150.00 for pride weekend was not too bad and we were given the key cards to the room, number 002. The reception team are also quite knowledgeable about the area so can tell you which way to go to get somewhere. You can pay to check in early and this costs £10.00 and late check-out is also £10.00

Our room was in the basement which if you don't mind not having a window and just a light tunnel, was Really Quiet. Our friends were staying in the Penthouse in the attic and although they only had sky lights the noise coming from the Pride event was pretty loud.

The room is a good size with a small kitchen with a dishwasher, sink hob, extractor fan, fridge with icebox, microwave, kettle and toaster. They also provide you with glasses, a full set of dinnerware, utensils and several bins.

The bed was fine in terms of comfort but the pillows were like pancakes so I advised the reception on check-out they may want to change these. The sofa is in the wrong position if you want watch TV as there is a pillar in the way so best to turn this to the bed and watch from there. Decent channel selection available.on the TV. There is an open wardrobe with hangers and a decent iron and ironing board provided. Lamps on bedside tables on either side of the bed and an alarm clock with an original iPod connection if you want to play your own music. There is also a desk where the TV is and a coffee table.

The bathroom/WC is large with a heated floor and partial heated mirror (Our friends didn't have this in their apartment but they did have a whirlpool bath with a TV so that's the trade off) The shower is semi enclosed and after a bit of faffing we discovered the correct way to use this. Too much water pressure and the shower starts to pulse and vibrate and the water goes cold.

Getting in and out of the bathroom is somewhat awkward as the door opens into the bathroom rather than being a sliding door or opening out, the toilet faces this directly and it's not privacy glass!(Only some sections are covered)so if someone is at the kitchen area or walks in the main door, they're going to get quite an eyeful if someone is sat on the toilet. Plenty of towels were provided.

The apartment is serviced every day and fresh towels, toiletries and tea and coffee are provided. There is also air conditioning which can be adjusted up or down for cool or warm air. The room was very clean and cleaned well every day we were there.

There are free fresh pastries and fresh fruit every morning until 1030 in the reception area to grab and go and free tea and bean coffee available all day as well. There is also a small shop area with a selection of items to prepare in your room but plenty of shops and places to eat are near by if you don't fancy this.

There are two lifts in the building if you can't use the stairs, one to take you down to reception and the other to take you to the other floors once your past reception.

We had a pleasant & quiet stay and we would highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Ask for a basement room if you like quiet.

Liz and all the team are lovely, they couldn't do more for us, we even had a 'congrats' banner and some snacks in the room as it was our first pride as a wives!! We even decided We were going to stay and extra night and the staff were really accommodating.
If I had to say a negative... if u have paid in full and have no intention of using the in house shop as u deal with cash only (as We do!) Then taking a £20 pre-auth on ur card and not allowing you to check in until you have done this is harsh. We had alot in full so think this should of been wavered.
