Coming from India, i had just heard of Cotswolds and based on trip advisors recommendation, i booked the Thornton being a bit skeptical and mostly living in hotels, was a bit wary.
However, when i reached Thornton, it was described, lovely place and so conveniently located to One Stop (convenience store) and the restaurants and shops. Thornton had every amenity that a house has and perfect for a couple, it was just superb, the place was as described, specially the living room loved to sit by the fire place and read, nice and cozy.
Will Adams the contact person , was very patient whenever i called him, he heard me very patiently and answered all my queries including when i reached there to get the keys, despite the description given on email (thats me :) ).
The only drawback was it was at ground level so passers by do peek in time and again, and the noise of the traffic at early am is a bit of a bother, but thats being on a busy street, we learnt to ignore it for having a convenient location, would definitely visit again.
The cottage is in an ideal location. It can be a little noisy at times, but you would expect this as it's on the High Street, and it's hardly city centre noise! I had a lovely short break and returned home feeling very refreshed. There's plenty to do and see in and around Chipping Campden, but equally there are some lovely places to simply eat, drink and relax as you watch the world go by. I'd definitely recommend it.

Gorgeous cottage in a quiet village. Loved the challenge of trying to find the key safe initially. Parking is ideal, we parked right opposite Thornton on the street.
The pictures don't do this place justice. The property is spacious and clean. Initially the property was very cold but putting the heating on soon warmed the place up. The log fire was a nice treat however no logs were left. A quick phone call to the owner soon sorted this out. The cottage does have wifi however very hit and miss doesn't work in the lounge.
The bed is super comfy!! One point to note is that the windows are single glazed as to be expected so traffic can be heard. Various pubs and restaurants locally for food.
Two negative points.
1) the hard carpet throughout the property hurts bare feet.
2) the toilet, there was a memo stating the plumbing and toilet were very old as expected. Therefore sometimes the toilet doesn't flush that well.
We went on a lovely long walk from the cottage in chipping campden to Broadway tower then off to the centre of Broadway. Highly recommend just don't get lost like we did.
Would happily go back to this place! Value for money.
