We stayed here for the New Years Eve tasting menu and dance.
This hotel pulls off the very rare trick of combining the highest levels of comfort, service and food with a friendly informality.
The property itself is beautiful and full of character with the bonus of a lovely spa.
The food served at dinner was of the highest standard and the whole evening managed seamlessly by the friendly staff, definitely the best New Year Event I have ever attended.
It must be even better in the summer when they open out the lovely formal gardens and the bar is a destination in itself for an informal drink.

Had a lovely three night stay at this lovely hotel, room was excellent (we would have preferred a shower, but managed fine with the shower attachment in the bath), very spacious room and a huge bed, fabulous nights sleep. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend for exploring the Costwolds, central location in the village, lots of places to eat / drink.

Fantastic night! Food was delicious and they catered for us awkward vegetarians! Great atmosphere and the staff were Fantastic. Nice comfy room with modern bathroom. Didn't get chance to use the spa so I'll have to go back but the breakfast was gorgeous.

We stayed here between Christmas and New Year for three nights in rooms 1 and 2.

Rooms were nice and clean - Room 1 was very nice, but room 2 wasnt special with a tiny bathroom.

The spa was great, pool small but its not a pool for lane swimming.

The food at the Hotel in the Bistro and the Fig restaurant was first class.

Hotel staff very friendly, shame we cant find any locals to work in hotels any more, but its typical of all UK hotels.

Car parking is good.

The only thing this hotel lacks is bold decor in the rooms and corridors and a cozy reception room (the reception doubles as the lounge). The Lygon Arms in Broadway is one that has just been redecorated and it makes an amazing difference.

We stayed for two nights between Christmas & New year
We had a standard room on the first floor, with breakfast & dinner included in the package.
First of all the check in was simple.
The room was lovely & comfortable
But most of all the restaurant was wonderful, breakfast was substantial & delicious. Dinner was a five course delight with the most attentive staff I have ever come across.
I can't comment on the spa because we didn't use it.
We will definitely be coming back!
