Take a trip on the tram to explore the canal-side village, where you can meet and chat to the costumed characters. Brilliant and fascinating. The Black Country come to life - like it says in it's name. Go down the mine and see the conditions that the miners used to have to endure, it's awesome. A great day out.

“a grand day out”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

We had a great time with the grand children at museum. The staff were helpful, the food was generally good value for money, however the fish and chips were a tad expensive. Lots of things for young and old. Joined for the year or a little extra and gift - aided the entrance fee. The gift shop could have had a better range and the cafe at the entrance was a little scruffy, doing there best but too few staff?

These attractions need all the help they can get We will return on one of the days when they have a special event day.

“Well worth a visit”

Me & my girlfriend Visited here as we were in the area for the weekend.
You can even go back for free within 12 months if you use gift aid.
Great museum with lots to look at and dressed up staff to interact with visitors.
I thought the mine tour was the best attraction.
