I would rated this as a zero. Mouse in room. Wehad to travel to Preston due to a family emergency which had family member in critical care. On the first night of your stay we checked into room 202 about 12 midnight. Due to the time we head straight to bed. The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant which was okay but not full stocked.

On the second night of our stay after a full day at the hospital we arrived back at the hotel at about 1am again headed to bed. However I couldn’t sleep and seen something in the corner of my eye on the bottom of my bed. I ignored it till I seen it a second time when I noticed it was a mouse I jumped out of bed and the mouse ran onto the floor and up the duvet on to my sisters bed under duvet across her leg which caused her to scream as I’m sure you can understand.

Following the incident we called reception and requested to be moved a member of staff came up to the room after about 30 mins and checked the room and asked us to come down to reception. They were fully booked and tried to contact other hotel but to no result. They then told use they had some rooms out of use due to building work and said they could put use in there. From 3.30am till 5.30am we sat in reception waiting for this issue to be resolved. Finally at 5.30am we were allocated a new room.

The following morning we checked out and the manager Amy agreed due to the issues they would refund our full stay.

However, premier inn have failed to honour this and will only refund us for the night of the incident.

This is not what you expect from a company with the reputation of whitbread.

We booked this for a 1 night stay as we were attending a wedding the next day and had driven up from London. Central location and close enough for us to travel to the wedding venue. Comfy and spacious double room. Good price as we had booked a couple of months in advance.
No major concerns or incidents so cannot really say comment on any bad experiences.
Just wanted to mention Harry who was working the night shift in the bar. Very very pleasant chap. Very chatty and polite. Made us (as a whole group) feel very welcome. He is a big credit to the hotel team.
Would recommend this hotel to others and hope they also get to meet Harry.

Stayed overnight here with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. Good location and clean and comfy beds. Unfortunately our experience with the breakfast in the morning let this hotel down badly. Went down at 9.40am and was told that there was no pastries, croissants etc at all. There was hardly anything available hot food wise and had to ask three times for it to be replenished. The woman attending that morning was very apologetic but the cook looked like she was on a go slow! As they offer an unlimited breakfast for which we paid £9.50 each it was not value at all and a waste of money.
