Excellent exhibition explaining the history of the town including the eponymous battle of the Wars of the Roses fought just a short distance away. It puts the other historical parts of the town into context.

Worth a look, especially if you've already popped into the Tourist Information Centre on the ground floor (excellent, helpful staff here).. It's geared towards school groups but still of interest to adults.

Very Good and nice stuff in the shop, once again no cost to enter and plenty to see and buy. Staff are informative and helpful

We popped in here to find out about the battlefields. The staff were full of useful information not only about what we had asked about but other things as well. A must visit if you need any help or information booklets.

A lovely old building but very difficult to get above the ground floor, unless you're fit. We struggled up to the top floor, after being asked NOT to use the lift. Not sure the climb was worth it but children would probably find the displays and dressing-up interesting. Just the place for them on a wet day.
