Watford Market is located in Watford High Street.
It has a number of street food stalls at the front of the area and you can choose from a number of different types from all over the world.
There are a number of stalls selling all sorts of other thing as well.
As well as the market there are a number of temporary stalls on the High Street which are not there all the time. There are stalls selling food and clothes and much more.
Very disappointed in this 'market' which felt very run down. It was very close to our hotel and we had hoped to buy something to eat, but three quarters of the outlets were already closed by mid afternoon.
I don’t have any problem with the market itself, I love the vibe in Watford however one of the fruit stores just outside Nando’s the customer service is terrible the gentleman serving can be very demeaning discriminative especially if you don’t speak English very well, it’s horrendous and humiliating to watch to see how they treat some customers of a particular race… And I’m not pulling out the racecard for no reason, I’m a local resident I’m in town every other day and at that fruit store a lot and I am watching how different customers get treated how everyone is spoken to differently, how some people Are spoken down at and some people are spoken to like they are long lost relatives.
What an absolute shambles. It's terrible and in no way can the title market apply. Never again. Whilst I appreciate retail is extremely hard at present this place apart from the fish stall is not worth the time.
It is a small nicely done up outdoor market but with very little footfall. All the food outlets, cafes, have tents and trade on the high street. There is a lot of foot fall during lunchtime during the week and weekends to cater for office workers and shoppers.
Just browsed through all the stores. Nothing dramatic and special. Could do with a coffee shop. Also, could be a bit more spacious.
