y wife and I stayed there for 5 nights. Room very small and basic and TV even smaller !! Had to request extra tea bags etc and towels not replaced during visit.
Breakfast however was excellent and always freshly cooked and eating in the conservatory was delightful and overlooked a vast and interesting garden. The guy was always pleasant but my wife said "It seemed to miss a womans touch in knowing what should happen"

Room Tip: Very basic but some good points as well

We stayed there last week for three nights. We easily found the place (just off the small motorway) and had a friendly greeting from Brian, who offered tea.

Our room was small and basic, but had reading lamps that worked, tea and coffee-making facilities, and the twin beds were very clean and comfortable. The small TV was very clear and loud enough, with a good range of programmes. There was a great shower in our own bathroom, too. Copious hot water and nice large towels.

Brian was on his own but cooked us a nice breakfast, which followed melon pieces (and there was a large choice of cereals - also bananas).

The coffee and tea were fine.

This was not luxury accommodation, but if like us, you were looking for a reasonably priced base near to the motorway, you could not do better.

Room Tip: We had the ground floor,right-hand from entrance - very private.

No greeting on arrival (unwelcoming), was immediately asked "how do you intend to pay" when I offered a credit card as payment " I prefer cash" was the reply. Room was dusty and dirty, strong musty smell and basic. TV was small, I mean very small. Toilet wasn't even flushed from its last customer (floating nards)!!!
Breakfast room poorly laid out in ther lounge, breakfast was served in a dish on a dirty wooden table - no table cloth. One sausage (tiny), one bacon, One egg (overcooked) Tomato (Raw) Mushroom (Bearly warm-Uncooked). Tea and Toast was OK !
The Kitchen is behind screens in their lounge and It felt like you were being watched whilst eating breakfast. Can't stay here again

Room Tip: Dont pick one

My wife and I stayed at the Styles Cottage (Bed and Breakfast) for 6 nights during July 2010 as a base for sightseeing in Kent.
The room was basic but very clean with a tv, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
Sue and Brian were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, Sue provided us with literature/brochures for our days out to Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Dover Castle etc.
The breakfast was very good (bacon, egg, sausage, tomato, cereals, tea, coffee) and set us up for each day of sightseeing.
We were allowed to use the beautiful back garden in the evenings to have a drink.
I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Great value for money. Cosy but functionable. We had an "apartment" for the four of us. It had everything we could have possibly needed - washing machine, kitchenware, ironing, tv and videos (I mean films as well), puzzles, ... and a small garden of its own where we had relaxed chats in the evenings admiring the view (flowers, grass, apple and perry trees, haying horses further away on the fields). Really makes one rest well and "breathe".
Owners are friendly and helpfull.
So it has a lovely and quiet countryside location (app. 5 km from the city centre?) but also has a bus connection to the city centre (fare was 1£70p one way). To a person with a car everything is "just under one's nose".
For those who will visit ESO ostepathy school - extremely close and good location - "just behind the school".
Also, a small horse riding school less than a mile away (hiking and basic ridind instruction for both for children and adults).
And many hiking routes as well.
