Firstly, theres nothing particularly wrong with the hotel at all, and I am sure most will have a fine stay.
I was there for a 2 day conference and stayed 2 nights.
Not sure if its intended, but there more than a bit of a 70's feel about the place. It was exactly like Crossroads Motel, but I did have the odd flashback.
The rooms are compact and without Air Con. Clean and tidy if a little tired in places.
The conference facilities are really good and our close to 100 people were more than pleased with the 2 days. The food was OK for the conferencing bit, but I was a little disappointed with the Pate starter and Burger I had in the restaurant. Drinks are not cheap, but par for a hotel these days I guess.
The communal areas and grounds outside are well kept, clean and tidy. Lovely view from the lounge and restaurant of the surrounding area.
A decent enough stay for a business trip. I didn't try the SPA facilities so not sure what its like for leisure.
Would use again if in the area.More
