Just come back from a lovely evening at The Carpenters Arms. 7 of us met for a meal this evening and we had an excellent evening and could not fault anything. Excellent friendly service. Food was hot and excellent and everyone without exception enjoyed the evening. Clean and comfortable. Will definitely come back- a little gem just outside Swindon at South Marston.

Visited mid week. For a meal.
Very good customer service
Service excellent.
Food Good
Beer good. Real ale avalible. But tied to Arkells so choice limited. But up-side is that what you get is good as barrel is not left open for a long time.
Value for money excellent for what you get.

Called in on off chance for a lunch, very busy but the lovely lady at the bar found a table. Ordered drinks at the table..very fast service. Ordered 2 of the 2 meat roast lunch Beef and Pork. Meal arrived in good time..and looked delicious. Didn't think we'd manage it..hubby ate all his, I struggled..left the new potatoes as these were still hard. Otherwise meal was good. Only one suggestion..meat cut thicker. Young waiting staff were very professional and attentive.

Very good food in the Carpenters and friendly staff.

Good vegetarian selections and reasonably priced food.

An Arkells pub and the 3b's is very good here if you enjoy ale.

An added benefit is taht the pub is dog friendly.

Dog friendly , not very many about, they have a separate area for you to sit and eat with your dogs, even have a doggy menu, good choice of food very reasonably priced, all home cooked, big portions and best of all the staff are great, well worth a visit.
