This outlet has some great shops, for all the family and some good places to eat, although it is a little over priced. There are some good clothes shops, RL, TOMMY are the best. For house hold goods try the John Lewis outlet. Some good electricals too, and you can haggle the price. All in all a good place to visit and an enjoyable shopping Experence.

They should get rid of the parking charge though.

Great place for a bargain, just 20 mins from Cotswold Water Park Hotel. Went on a wet day, is under cover.

“Becoming emptier”

I live in Bath, so the trip to Swindon isn't too far for me. The place is well sign-posted, and parking is £1 for under 5 hours (or free if you manage to spend £100 or more during the day).

However, I wouldn't say the trip is worth going there. The actual discounts are often minimal, especially in the big branded shops, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren (which is always very cramped and worse when there are crowds) and Hugo Boss. Given it's an outlet, you would expect choice to be limited in terms of designs and sizes, this is definitely the case with the larger stores. This was not always the case in Swindon, the Ted Baker outlet used to be full of cheap bargains in a decent range of sizes, but since Burberry closed and Ted Baker took over the larger store, prices seem to have increased, with more space for moving but less space dedicated to clothes. There is also almost no choice for women's clothing in Hugo Boss, which is a shame.

I would say the only stores worth going to are the John Lewis (home store, so good for cookware and tableware) and the Gap outlet. So while it looks like a big place to spend hours, you could probably walk in and out within 2 hours!

The restaurant area is also quite limited (I believe there is a KFC and a few unbranded stores that sell jacket potatoes), but quite expensive and not worth it.

“Worth a visit if you're in the area, and FAB for John Lewis alone.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

Most stores are distinctly average, I can imagine it's great for families with children as there is a play area and lots of shops offering cheaper children's clothes. For adults, GAP offered good discount but the selection was pretty minimal. I personally found the Nike store very good, helpful staff and good discounts of the dri-fit running wear. However I mostly advise John Lewis, enormous discounts on everything you would expect to see in a normal store. The selection in things like bed linen is minimal but for quality appliances and furniture, we couldn't believe how much cheaper it was.

Parking is ample and cheap £1 for up to 5 hours, but don't stay longer or it rockets to £12?!
