“Great Idea For Birthday Party”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2011

Don't wish to repeat everything which has been written in previous reviews but would be very happy to concur with all the positive comments about Log Heights.

We took 8 boys for a 9th birthday party and they all had the most fabulous time. Some of the group were less confident than others but, as a result of the gentle encouragement of James (staff), all made it round the course and felt brilliant about themselves having done so.

I'd recommend Log Heights as an ideal location for a birthday party (either/mixed gender). You can bring your own food or eat at Ripley Tea Rooms and, of course, have a Ripley ice cream to finish off the day. For info, we brought our own snacks which we ate half way round and then headed for ice-cream followed by birthday cake on the tables in front of the Village Store.

My top tip would be to limit party numbers to about 6 so that nobody gets fed up waiting for a turn. The Jacob's Ladder is climbed in groups of three and Leap of Faith/Death, in twos.

I'm sure big boys and girls would love Log Heights too!

We never get tired of reading reviews from our guests, even if there is sometimes a common thread (as long as we've got it right, of course!) Glad to hear you all had a good time with us. Thanks for the tip, too. We always endeavour to ensure that everyone is kept busy when they are on the ropes course, either climbing themselves or belaying for someone else. It's this team approach that helps to make Log Heights a bit different from other high ropes courses. I've passed your kind comments on to James and hope that we'll see you again one day.

“Great Fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 October 2011

My sons 11th birthday party had a mix of 8-11 year old boys and they all had a superb time at Log heights. It was a drizzly day, but it made no difference as the Jacobs Ladder and Leap of faith were covered by the surrounding trees, so the equipment was easy to use and safe!! Colin and Jim were both great with the lads and added to the fun..would definately recommend this to others!!

“What a buzz!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 October 2011

Myself, my colleagues and a couple of friends who got "roped in" (do you see what I did there?) did a sponsored challenge on the zip wire yesterday to raise funds for MS research. Some of us were very very scared and the instructors were amazing at encouraging us- and so friendly, they joined in with the banter straight away. Some very real fears were conquered. We were offered the choice to zip twice or try the leap of faith and I have to say the leap of faith was the most frightening thing I have ever tried. I thought it would be impossible to climb the pole let alone launch myself off it but the cheerleading and peer pressure worked a treat! We'll definitely be back, thanks to all at Log Heights for an amazing experience.

“Brilliant Hen Wkend Activity”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 September 2011

We went to Log Heights as part of my hen weekend and all eight of us had a fantastic time. The activities we did got everyone involved, even those who did not want to go high as they all involve working as a team! Our guide, Duncan was fab and made sure our morning was fun filled but also safe. We took a camera and got lots of great pictures. The weather wasn't great but it really didn't spoil things at all, waterproofs were provided and we were too busy having a great time to even notice the rain! The activity lasted 3 hours and we were all shattered after but really proud of what we achieved. Ripley Castle is also a fantastic setting and well worth making time to look around. Would like to go again soon!
