“cosy and compact”
Reviewed 25 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cottage is ideal for a visit to wexford. This accomadation is out in the country.
The only downside is the small space in the bedroom. My Husband is tall and had to be careful . There is no wardrobe available but there is hanging space in a closet downstairs. It is clean and tidy, and the owner has special little quirks like scones, jam and butter on arrival. Also egggs are in a basket and this is very welcoming. Enjoyed my stay.

“Beautiful and tranquil experience staying at Fruit Hill cottages!!!”

We found this cottage perfect for a long weekend break, but will have to go back again because there was much more to do in that part of the country than we had realised. The setting is very pretty, and there's a wood burning stove in the old stone fireplace, so it was nice to relax and take it easy there. Coming from Dublin it is a very short journey, so you'd feel the benefit of the break.
A wonderful change of pace.
Loved it!

“Beautiful Cottage”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 for a stay in October 2013

We had a great time staying in this pretty little cottage. It has great character, and is very well equipped. The bedroom is small, but the bed is very comfortable. Probably not suitable for anyone very tall or wide, but we loved the cosiness of it. The owners were always around if we needed anything, and we thought County Wexford was very friendly generally.

“A great place to relax”

I was lucky enough to be upgraded free of charge to the owners two bedroom holiday cottage. The purpose of my visit to Ireland was motorbike touring combined relaxation and study without distractions and this was made possible at fruit hill. A roomy cottage with open fire, comfy beds fully furnished with kitchen & lounge. What will always stick in my mind was the superb hosts, Dick & Susan who bent over backwards to ensure I had a great time. My late arrival (due to a cancelled ferry crossing) was greeted with a roaring fire, buffet dinner and provisions for breakfast. My hosts also helped me out greatly with bulky provision I was unable to acquire myself (due to being on a bike). Great facilities available you would expect at home. The area (and Ireland in general) is beautiful, full of friendly chatty helpful people.
You will require transport though as the cottage is shortish drive to the nearest town of New Ross but parking available on site. I would love to visit again in better weather and enjoyed my stay so much I missed my ferry home by a day. I will miss Susan's fresh coffee and scones! Please note that I marked the property as not marked as advertised as I was upgraded to a bigger cottage. Thank you.
